3 Steps To Mastering The Art Of NLP

1. Do Your Research...
Back in the early 1970’s Richard Bandler and John Grinder perhaps did not know what
they were getting into back in 1975 when they created NLP. Today NLP has spawned
into a multi-million dollar business with practitioners all across the world. While NLP has
evolved extensively into the modern day.

When you think of NLP masters you might think of people like Richard Bandler, John
Grinder, Tony Robbins, Paul McKenna, and Derren Brown. While these people have
popularized NLP to the mainstream and other develops like Connie Rae Andreas,
Robert Dilts and Charles Faulkner have all written excellent books about understanding
and eventually mastering the concepts behind NLP.

NLP, as a model of human functioning, takes a very different attitude from some of the
old psychologies. In NLP, we do not start from the assumption (and what an assumption
it is!) that people are broken. No. Instead, we assume the opposite-- that people work
perfectly well, that they have all the resources that they need, and that the only problem
isn't with them, but with their programming.

NLP literally stands for a mouth-full of a phrase: Neuro-Linguistic Programming. This

refers to the fact It means that we have a mind-body system that we can program very
much the way we can program software for a computer. This mind-body system or our
neuro-linguistics is made up of our neurology (our nervous systems that enables us to
live, breathe, think, and function) and our linguistics (the symbol systems that run the
neurology).

Put mind-body together-- the linguistics of neurology and we have an amazing human
bio-computer. And the best news is, it's programmable! Though it is hard-wired with a
few basic functions, but for the most part, we can re-program its hardware.

2. Attend A Live NLP Practitioner Training

Many people ask why attend a “LIVE” training if there are so many books, audio’s and
online systems out there. GREAT QUETION... but let me pose this question back to
you. Could you have truly learned and become proficient at driving if you were to only
study with the many books, audio’s and online systems out there on becoming an
automobile operator? NEVER! You need to have hands-on experience, PERIOD!

It’s exactly the same as taking an NLP practitioner certification training course. Learning
NLP is not an easy task. Mastering and integrating NLP is a lifelong journey. Think
about how long it took you to get to where you are now, AND ALL WITHOUT an
owner’s manual to your brain. So you get my gist? Attending is crucial in learning how
to control, operate and re-program your subconscious mind for success!

3. Practice, Practice, Practice!

Once you understand the basics of NLP and how to operate your brain, it’s time to get
to mastering the art and science of NLP. You begin by focusing on yourself, get ready to
get in touch with your innermost thoughts and emotions. For some people it may be the
first time they’ve ever challenged their internal beliefs about the way they see the world,
how they operate and what they’ll achieve in their life. You’d be very surprised at what
you’re actually capable of accomplishing.

This is probably the most important step. In between conquering your inner world, your
fears and creating everything you’ve ever imagined for your life.

In the past 25 years, hundreds of techniques (the NLP technology) has arisen that
provide step-by-step processes for "running your own brain" to produce outstanding
results. There are patterns for effecting lasting change with phobias and trauma (the
Phobia Cure pattern), for changing long-term habits (the Swish Pattern), for changing
old traumatic reactions to memories (Decision Destroyer), for altering meaning
(Reframing patterns),

NLP offers a large toolbox of techniques. And it is so much more than that as co-
founder, Richard Bandler has stated, "NLP is an attitude and a methodology that leaves
behind a trail of techniques."

The attitude of NLP involves one of intense and excited curiosity. It involves the desire
to know what goes on behind the scenes. With this kind of attitude of curiosity, we want
to know what makes the human mind work. So NLP runs on an attitude of
experimentation. This attitude leads us to try all kinds of things. After all, we do not sort
for "failure," but only for "feedback." If we find that something doesn't produce the
results we want, we just try something else. When you get the attitude or spirit of NLP,
you'll experience a wild and wonderful passion for exploration, experimentation, and
innovating. It will make you more creative, more open to the world of possibilities, and
more of a pioneer.

So the most important thing to remember is to BE CURIOUS and HAVE FUN! This is
truly the gift of change!
