LAYER STYLES
 Are built-in effect that allows you to add
shadows,glows,and 3D appearances to your layers
 The layer effect icon appears to the right of the layers
name in the layers panel. You can expand the styles in the
layers panel to view or edit the effects that composte the
style
DROP SHADOW
Is to stimulate a 3D depth in a 2D image

INNER SHADOW
Is done by creating an offset shadow within a shape to make it
look it is 3D in depth in a 2D image
OUTER GLOW
Make an objectlook as if it is emitting light,but can also be used
to create a shadow effect

INNER GLOW
On top of creating a glowing effect, inner glow can also be used
to stimulate an embossed or cut out effect

BEVEL AND EMBOSS

It is usedto make something look more 3D by adding highlights
and shadows to different parts of your layer
SATIN
it can also be used to add additional depth and even more
realistic detail to glass and metal effects

COLOR OVERLAY
Fill’s the layer’s content with a color

GRADIENT OVERLAY
Used for adding deoth to your design
 Linear: A standard gradient between two points
 Radial: A gradient starting from a center point and radiating outwards
 Angle: A gradient that rotates around a center pivot point
 Reflected: A linear gradient that duplicates itself as a mirror image
 Diamond: A diamond gradient that radiates from a center point

PATTERN OVERLAY
Used to add a pattern to a particular layer. It can help you
create styles with depth

STROKE
Used to add borders to layers and shapes .it can be used to
create solid-color line, colorful gradiemts, as well as borders

FILTERS MENU
Filters – are individual algorithims that alter the appearance of
the image
ARTISTIC-The category includes filters that make your images
look like a painting/drawing
BLUR-these filters change the the focus in all or a part of a
image

BRUSH STROKES-make your image look like it ws

painted,penciled, and etc. among other effects

DISTORT-these filters create geometric patterns based on your

image includding ripples,twirls,and zigzag effects
NOISE- help smooth areas of your image that don’t blend,fix
dust & scratches in photos and remove graininess

PIXILATE-converts image or selections into groups of geometric

shape&patterns
RENDER-let you add cloud patterns,fiber patterns and lens flare
and adjust your image’s lighting.

SHARPEN-make blurry or out-of-focus images clearer.

SKETCH- useful for creating a fine arts or hand down look

STYLIZE- turn your images into colectio of blocks or dots or add

a wind blown look

TEXTURE-stimulate the appearnce of depth or substance to add

an organic look
