In May 15 2013 the Enhanced Basic Education Act is sign by President Benigno Aquino III into

law, this is commonly known as k-12 program.The government will add two years plus kindergarte.Many
people thinks that this program will not help the country because our economy is not good but others
think that it would improve our educational system and the country as a whole.The question we’re
trying to cover in this essay is the effectiveness of k-12 program.

K-12 program helps the students to improve their skills,to provide sufficient time for mastery of
concepts,develop lifelong learners, prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills
development, employment, and to find a good job .Its going to be easy for them to proceed in college
because they have enough knowledge and they are not struggling in terms of studying. Filipino students
enough time to master skills and concepts so that they are ready for tertiary education when the time
comes.

This will prepare the student for work after graduating.Not all students who graduated will
automatically be sent to a university for college.Some students prepare themseleves to look for a job
for the sake of having money to study in college.The students who have accomplish the 12 year system
will automatically be recognized.This will be good for our country.And completing all levels and college
of education would mean a better or good job in or out of the country.

This kind of curriculum has already studied with the government.They say that this program for
us is difficult to apply in our country because of our economy.But after few years the Philippine
economy has improved because of Aquino administration so that it will be the time to apply this kind of
curriculum. And other parents are not happy for this.But are you agree that the money will be spend in
this curriculum is really worth it?The government say that their children would learn more and gain
more knowledge for those additional two year of education.

Although I agree to a point that this curriculum is better than previous I still insist that the
students are difficult to adjust specially the parents of the children. Poverty has been a problem until
now so its difficult to the parents to pay money for additional 2 yrs in senior highschool.Parents are not
financially stabled,money would hinder the implementation of the system.Yes we say that the money
will be put in use of their children’s future.The parents are not prepared to pay for two more years of
education.

k-12 is either bad or good,this system has a good point because this curriculum doesnt matter if the
student didnt study well.Our parents work hard for this,so even your parents support your need you
must study well.Actually This curicullum will not be the way for your future the way is you,yourself,your
future is in your hands not in this curriculum. Curriculum is just a guide for your succes not the way you
succeed.Always remember that poverty will not kill your dreams.
