meet at least biweekly.
Agreed. Daily supervision will be performed by postdoctoral research associates (Dr. Kaley McCluskey and Dr.
Humberto Sanchez) and Research technicians (Dr. Theo van Laar and MSc. Filip Asscher). Dr. Belen Solano will advise
the candidate on the planning and organization of the project.

Other arrangements:

Teaching activities: (i.e. which tasks, allocated time)

Attached is the timeline for the teaching activities and graduate school courses.

Other arrangements: (i.e. conference visits, budget, etc.)

Selected conferences in the field of research will be attended by the PhD candidate.

Development of competences and skills

The doctoral candidate assesses the development of his or her competences in relation to the DE Competences Model
and indicates where and how improvements can be made. The candidate and supervisors discuss each competence
during the meeting, set priorities and formulate concrete goals and actions.

Please refer to the Competency Development Guide for a definition of the skills’ levels.

Discipline related skills
The candidate has a good knowledge about the problem on which he is
working. He has done the literature review and has worked on defining
the objectives for his PhD. Along with this, he has also acquired skills in
D.1 the biolab and learned to operate the single-molecule instrument.
Scientific Knowledge On the other hand, the candidate still needs to learn on performing
analysis of the results using programming (he has already taken up a
course to learn it). Along with this, he also needs to learn on performing
experiments with a plan and in a systematic manner.
