Best Answer: Absolutely! When the moon is new, the face turned toward us
is in shadow. Plus, a new moon is only up during the day, as it will be relatively
close to the sun in the sky. So when the sun sets, so does the new moon. The Related Questions
sky should therefore be relatively dark and many stars will be visible (assuming
your view isn't affected by weather conditions or by nearby city lights). Can the moon affect our emotions?

Do you NEVER go outside at night? I can't believe anyone has to actually ask

well slightly, the moon has no light. it is just a rock. the light we DO see on the
moon is really a reflection from the sun. and if the moon appears brighter will
wont notice the stars as much.

it doesent effect it. All the moon phases are is that the moon is in a different po-
sition with the earth and teh sun. as it revolves around the earth it shows more
(waxing) or less (waining) light. It has no effect on the stars.
