1) Both Contractors seems to be equally
competent for Solar Project. However, the
installation by Sunshade did not have
quality finish in terms of overall
installation and dressing.
2) Irrespective of the Contractor, in both
cases, we cannot completely rely on the
Contractor as like any other project. As a
client, it is our responsibility to
meticulously supervise the project and
make Contractor incorporate all pertinent
details from conceptual to detail
engineering and to site installation until
handover with all our inter-departmental
technical know-how.
3) Both Contractor will get all the works
outsourced through other sub-contractors
as they do not have their own full-fledged
front or back office specialist team. The
same was observed during our site visit to
both Contractor’s offices. Hence
dependability, quality of project
management, engineering, execution and
long term support cannot be guaranteed.
However, project of this size will have to
be executed through such Contractors
only, else the project cost will escalate
and no big EPC Companies would work at
this price level. So we have limited
options.
4) Following lines shall be included in the
Contract to safeguard our Contract against
any issues and disputes in-case of
conflicts. “All documents, designs,
engineering, calculations, datasheets,

optimum level due to weather conditions
and all inverters output data were not
fully displayed on the HMI due to some
issues.

weather conditions at both locations.
3) Sunshade’s Solar plant annual
performance data were not available for
review. However, Aaakar’s Solar plants
data were made available for review and
comparison purposes which seems to be
reasonably OK.
4) Clients feedbacks for both Contractors
were reasonably OK but we have to note
that Aakar’s sites were comparatively
older than Sunshade’s sites and Aaakar
has comparatively more number of such
projects.
5) Aakar had comparatively better
installation quality.

Based on their projects list, it is apparent that
Aakar has comparatively more outreach to
multiple vendors and so is expected to have a
better liaising company with renowned
vendors. It is therefore expected to fetch us
better and faster support from product OEM
during crisis situation.
