CHARACTERS: Plot/Summary:
This is a story of a person who
Oscar(Main) had an encounter with his
Oscar’s Friend 1 neighbor. An altercation
Oscar’s Friend 2 ensued which led into a fist
______________________ fight. The other party went
Neighbor directly to the police station
Neighbor’s friend 1 and the police arrested Oscar,
Neighbor’s friend 2 a 21 year old student from
_______________________ Xavier University. After
Police Officer 1 having been detained for a
Police Officer 2 couple of days, he remained
Security Guard hopeless and left without any
Oscar’s Law Student Friend recourse.
_______________________ Comes now an old friend, a
third year law student from

10 The question: what will be the
best course of action on the
part of Oscar?

SCENE I :

Oscar is at his residence, at Xavier Estates, Cagayan de oro City, drinking with his friends
to celebrate his milestone for finally graduating from college.
While they were enjoying the night, the neighbors across his house were also celebrating a
birthday party.

Scene II:
One of the neighbors approached Oscar and his friends and asked for a cigarette.
Unfortunately, neither of Oscar and his friends have cigarettes.
This provoked his neighbor to mock them and challenged them to a fist fight.
As expected, a fist fight between the two parties ensued. Until it was stopped by the Security
Guard of the Subdivision.
Scene III:

Oscar and his friends agreed to settle the matter the day after, and expected the other parties
to leave peacefully.

Contrary to their belief. The parties Proceeded to the nearest police station. They asked for
police assistance. The police officers immediately went to Oscar’s residence where Oscar was
serenely resting on his abode.

He was apprehended, arrested and treated like a criminal. Oscar, without any knowledge about
the law whatsoever submitted himself to the custody of the policemen.
Scene IV:

 Since then, he was detained at the Carmen Police Station. It has already been 44hours since his
detention. Without any knowledge as to the reason of his liberty’s deprivation.
He consulted Stefan, a childhood friend who is currently a student of Xavier University College
of Law. What would be the best recourse?(Start of Report)
