leading manufacturer and supplier of plant nutrients in India with an asset base of around Rs. 21
billion.

The Need :
• To inculcate the need for structured approach to problem solving, Employees have been following trial
and error method
• To equipping employee with the knowledge and the tools and techniques that can be used for creativity
and innovation.

 PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS


■ An 8 hour e-Learning course split into basic and advanced:
 The basic course provides knowledge to sharpen the users skill at solving problems,
efficiently and effectively.

 The advanced course deals with tools and techniques

 INNOVATION & CREATIVITY


■ An 4 hour e-Learning course on tools and techniques for
creativity and innovation

• Phase II - April 2010 onwards

 FINANCE FOR NON-FINANCE EXECUTIVES

■ This 4 hour e-Learning course on finance for non-finance introduces the learner to the basic
concepts of a seemingly tedious subject, finance, with the help of simple and day-to-day
examples. Using relevant scenarios, it explains the
various functions of the Finance department in a
business.

 BASICS OF PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

■ This 4 hour e-Learning course on people management


underlines the contribution of people and their proper
management toward achieving organisational objectives.

• Each course is followed by an 'end of course' assessment


(randomly generated multiple choice questions only) to assess the
users learning.

Instructional Strategy

• “Learning by doing”
• The tools detailed in the course are demonstrated using examples
• The applicability of the tool is experienced by the user through exercises and simulations

Delivery Methodology

• The e-Learning courses and the LMS Tool are hosted on the client Intranet server.
• The e-Learning courses are hosted on a LMS Tool developed by C&K Management
• The back end of the LMS Tool is linked to a MS-SQL database maintained by client
• The front end of the LMS Tool is linked to the client Intranet
• Users at different locations visit the Intranet and login using the user id and password provided to them
to access the e-Learning courses and the end of course assessment
• Client has released the e-Learning courses to users in batches of 50 users. Each batch is given 45 to 60
days to complete the e-learning courses with assessment
• A short PPT has been sent by the HR Team to all batches of employees. This PPT talks about how to
register and get access to the Catalogue courses from the NFCL Intranet for all users including those
that are at remote locations. This has totally eliminated the several queries posed by the first time users
of the catalogue courses.
• A 'built in' Admin module in the LMS Tool allows the client Learning & Development team to track the
users and the usage of each e-Learning course
• Each user needs to score 5 or above out of 10 in the end of course assessment (Multiple Choice
Questions only) to become eligible for an Certificate of Achievement issued by the client
• The Admin module enables the HR to reset the test for a particular user in case user wants to take the
end of course assessment again
• Users can send in their queries, feedback & suggestions to the internal email id provided
