1. CET Comment: Shed to be redesigned considering pinned base.

SMS Reply: The Horizontal Deflection is increasing beyond the allowable
limit if we consider Pinned base plate. To reduce horizontal deflection
We have considered a fixed base in accordance to Cl 3.11.1 of IS
800:1984
2. CET Comment: Wind load value applied on structure to be calculated
and shown in the design document for clarity.
SMS Reply: Noted and Incorporated.
Wind load co-efficient calculations are done in the design calculations.
Further breakup of the load applied is provided in the editor of the staad
file for clarity.
3. CET Comment: Seismic load calculation mentioned in the submitted
design document not understandable. Backup calculation to be
submitted. Seismic load value applied in staad not matching with seismic
load calculations in excel sheet.
SMS Reply: Noted and Incorporated.
Seismic mass obtained from pinned model is multiplied with Ah =0.105
to obtain the horizontal seismic forces for X and Z directions. For Y
directions the seismic mass is taken as 2/3 of the value of the pinned
mass in accordance with cl 6.4.5 of IS 1893: part 1 :2002, For
combinations Cl 6.3.4 of IS 1893:part 1:2002 is taken. Increase of
permissible stress is taken as per cl 3.9.2.1 of IS 800:1984. Excel sheet
(sheet 2) and annexure is attached for clarity.
