 ROLEPLAY NURSING INSTRUCTION

Name : Dea Putri Eka Nurulita as Patient

Retni Nurbaity as Nurse

Nurse : “ Good morning, miss.”

Patient : “ Morning too, nurse.”

Nurse : “ Do you remember me ?”

Patient : “ Yes of course, Nurse Retni aren’t you ?”

Nurse : “ Oh right. Are you miss Dea?”

Patient : “ Yes of course.”

Nurse : “ How are you today ? Are you going well ?”

Patient : “ Not too bad. Iam just a little bit tired.”

Nurse : “ That is normal. How was your sleep last night?”

Patient : “ Yes of course.”

Nurse : “ Do you have any complains ?”

Patient : “ I feelweak and tired.”

Nurse : “ Do you still get headache ?”

Patient : “ Not any more.”

Nurse : “ Okay, now I will take your blood sample and give medicine to you with injection.”

Patient : “ What for you take my blood sample nurse ?”

Nurse : “ Your blood sample will be used for diagnostic laboraturium.”

Patient : “ Oh, yes nurse.”

Nurse : “ Can you lay down on the bed please ?”

Patient : “ No. problem. By the way is it hurt nurse ?”

Nurse : “ I will be little bit hurt but it’s okay, don’t worry.”

Patient : “ It’s okay.”

Nurse : “ Excuse me, I would like to take your blood sample. Can I have your arms please ?”

Patient : “ Here it is.” ( doing the instruction )

Nurse : “ Thanks, and now set up in your right arm. Because I want to apply this tourniquet

above your elbow.”

Patient : “ Okay nurse.” ( doing the instruction )

Nurse : “ Ok, miss Retni. Your skin will be cleaned by this alcohol swab and then I will insert

this needle on your vein. Please, don’t move when insert this needle. It will be little

bit hurt but it’s okay, don’t worry.”

Patient : “ Hmm, be careful nurse.”

Nurse : “ Ok miss Retni, don’t worry! Ok miss, I have your blood now.”

Patient : “ Finish nurse ? I don’t feel pain nurse.”

Nurse : “ It’s good. Ok miss, now I will inject this medicine on your body.”

Patient : “ Ok nurse.”

Nurse : “ Ok miss, I finish take your blood sample and inject medicine. I will bring this

sample to the laboraturium.

Patient : “ Ok nurse, thankyou.”

Nurse : “ You’re welcome.”

 ROLEPLAY GIVING ADVICE

Nurse : “ Good morning, miss.”

Patient : “ Morning too, nurse.”

Nurse : “ What can I do for you ?”

Patient : “ I need some advice. Yesterday, after having lunch. I saw some red spots in my

skin. Some are big and some are small. The big red sprts are around my arms and

legs. The small red sports are around my chest. They are itchy and i my eyes are

swollen.”

Nurse : “ Let me check first. Ok, I think you should see the doctor. I think you are allergic

to something. What did you eat yesterday.”

Patient : “ I ate a plate of shrimps.”

Nurse : “ I think you are allegic to shrimps.”

Patient : “ What should I do ?”

Nurse : “ You had better see a doctor.”

Patient : “ What do you suggest ? Do, I see the general practitioner or the dermatologist.”

Nurse : “ You might see the general practitioner and he will refer you to a dermatologist.”

Patient : “ Ok, thankyou nurse.”

Nurse : “ Before you leave, I advice you to drink a lot of water and if you want to eat

shrimps, you must take some medicines first.”

Patient : “ Thankyou for your advice, nurse.”

Nurse : “ You’re welcome and get well soon.”
