eCityCabs / eIntelliCabs - Complete cab booking system - VB6 + MySQL
Abstract:
eIntellicabs – complete car booking system is capable of managing car rental business. It is a
system designed specifically for medium and small car rentals business. The program's interface is
designed to be simple and its use can be grasped in minutes even by inexperienced computer
users.
The eIntellicabs is easy to use, full-featured and flexible car booking, car listing and car rental
application. It allows Administrators of this cab booking system can add new or change locations,
vehicle pictures, rate card. The eIntelliCabs System provides complete functionality of listing and
booking car. System displays live status of cars and booking status, while booking user can view
distance, routes between two destinations. To automate calculate total amount based on distance
and rate master. Saves the booking and can retrieve the reservation any time. Administrator can
manage vehicles, location and rate details, users can view and make new booking. Managers can
view, generates various reports. System supports any numbers of vehicles and location. System
has built in security features to handle different types of user’s login and manage their privileges.

eIntelliCabs is a client server application and can run over LAN network, where every
user can access information from centrally located server.
With eIntelliCabs there are no requirements to upgrade your computer system or spend
time and money on costly implementations and training.
Very easy reservation system that will show you all available cars in one click.
Can add any number of Pick up and Drop off location.
Extensive vehicle details includes vehicle picture.
Retrieve the old booking by booking reference number.
Administrator can add new car , location details from front end only.
Administrator can modify tariff details for any city.
Automatic tariff calculation based on distance and pre-defined rate.
Management can view car register, driver register, booking register and payment reports.
User can view location details and route, distance between two location from Google
map by clicking distance/map button available from booking form.

Tariff Calculation, Booking Status, Reports etc.

Processor: Preferably 3.0 GHz or Greater.

Limitations of the Software:
This project was developed to fulfill user requirement; however there are lots of scope to
improve the performance of the eCityCabs System in the area of user interface, database
performance, and query processing time. Etc.
Future Enhancements:
 Linking and integration of other system for accounting system.
SMS and email facility for cab booking notification
