 Trimandir

Trimandir temple is situated near adalaj village on Ahmedabad – kalol highway,

founded by dada bhagwan, built with pink stone. This is very clean, well
maintained, green, peaceful and spiritual family spot. This temple is a Non-
Sectarian temple with idols of many Gods and Goddesses, to bring people of all
faiths together. There is no entry fee, nice food court, play area for children,
garden and lot more to enjoy. Overall It was a superb experience to visit this
temple.
 Adalaj Step well

Adalaj Step well aka Adalaj ni vav is situated in Adalaj village, Gandhinagar,
built in 1499. It is fantastically carved, impressive architecture work, around 50
feet deep, historical place. It was very cool inside, used for water storage,
different zarokhas to sit, Octagonal shape in plan. There is garden and a temple
outside, children can play around and relax. It was good experience to visit along
with family.
 Mahatma Mandir

Mahatma Mandir is situated in Sector 13 of Gandhinagar, built with inspiration

from life of Mahatma Gandhiji. It is not a spiritual temple but basically a
convention center, exhibition halls and memorial, utilized for business meets like
Vibrant Gujarat. It is circular in shape, consists concrete dome, museum, library
& research center and surrounded by garden & fountains, beautiful architecture.
Dandi March Suspension bridge is under construction. It is an awesome place to
spend time with family.
 Vaishno Devi temple

Vaishno devi temple is located on Sarkhej – Gandhinagar highway, near ring

road intersection, Ahmedabad. It is replica of Vaishno devi temple, Katra,
Jammu. Good food court is inside the campus, where one can have very tasty
snacks. Leather apparels and accessories are not allowed inside temple. It was
feeling like moving through hills and caves, while going for darshan. We enjoyed
a lot.
 Children’s park

Children’s Park is a green grass Garden, aka Bal Udhyan spread over large area
located in sector 28, Gandhinagar. There are different rides including Toy train,
boating etc for children sited in the garden. Light snacks and Ice cream also are
available in garden premise. It was a place to take rest for us (elders) and an
open arena for children to play around with rest of the energy. We spent a
superfine, peaceful evening over there.
 Sidi Saiyyed mosque

Sidi Saiyyed mosque aka Sidi Saiyyed ni Jaali, located in Lal darwaja, heart of
Ahmedabad city, built in 1573. The intricately carved beautiful marble stone
window is put in the mosque, which is the Sidi Saiyyed ni Jaali. It is the master
piece of stone carving work, unofficial symbol of Ahmedabad and emblem of
IIMA. There is not much space around to roam since it is surrounded by heavy
traffic road. Inside it is good space to sit and spend some time. We felt
interestingly worth visit this place.
