English Composition (Third Assessment 2020)

Write an essay based on the autobiography of a leather jacket while referring to these guidelines.

1. Your essay must include (A) conflict, (B) setting, (C) rising and falling action & (D) resolution. You
can change the order but conflict is to come before the resolution, obviously.
2. Your essay must consist of 350 – 750 words. (write the number of words you have written in total at the
end.)
3. Focus on the topic. Its an autobiography, so write about the jacket’s entire life, where it came from, how
it was made, what challenges did it face, where did it end up, was it happy … and so on.
4. Paragraphing should also be clearly visible in your essay; preferably block paragraphs should be made.
(Leave a line after completing a paragraph.)
5. Be mindful of your spelling errors. Constantly recheck. (1.5 marks will be cut for 10 spelling mistakes,
and 3 marks for 20 spelling mistakes. In case you have 40+ spelling errors, 8.5 marks will be cut in
total.) Tip: If you want to write a certain word but cannot due to the hard spelling, you may write down
its meaning. That won’t cost you anything, and it isn’t risky either.
6. Refer to the marking table (for examiner’s use only) to get an idea of how important your punctuation
and grammar is. The percentage it carries is very high.
7. Do not stress out, try your best and enjoy writing! Best of Luck 
