SIS – Import Users

This guide will explain how to Import a SIS DVD user account from an XML file.

Import allows the SIS Admin a fast way of loading multiple users. A SIS Administrator can
create a user and then email the account information to that user. Note: The user will need to
license SIS prior to attempting to Import a user.

Right click on the SIS icon &

select “Import Users” to go to the
administration screens & update
the user’s information.

Instead of the right click

option, the Admin may also
open up the SIS DVD
program to the main log in
page and choose the “Import
SIS Users” button.

Click on the “Browse” button to

drill down and locate the file.

Fine & Select the XML file then
hit “Open.”

Once the “Load From:” section

populates, then you can select
the “Load” button.

Be sure to check the box under

“Select Users.” Then hit the
IMPORT button.

Note: Importing a user that

already exists will overwrite
any saved parts lists and
Customer Equipment Lists.

The Status of the user should

populate as “Successful.”

The user will be able to access SIS with the new User Name & Password that was created for the user.

All new users will have to accept the User License Agreement that appears the first time the user opens SIS.

The added user should now be able to log into SIS DVD using his/her ID and password.
