A. INSTRUMENT SPECIFICATIONS

NUMBER OF CHANNELS: 12.

RECORD TIME: 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000 milliseconds (user-selectable).

RECORD SIZE: 8 bits by ;000 sampled points for each channel.

SAMPLE INTERVAL: 25 to 2000 microseconds, depending on record time as follows:

DELAY TIME: 0 to 5.0 seconds, in increments of 1.0 millisecond (liser--selectable).

SIGNAL ENHANCEMENT: Successive shots may be summed in digital memory, to aid detection of weak signals.
The maximum stack count (nlirober of summed shots) that can be displayed is 255.

STORE/RECALL: Up to 12 sets of Channel Settings (each set consists of gain and trace size settings for all 12
channels) may be
stored in and retrieved from nonvolatile memory

TIMING: Crystal-controlled, 0.01% accurate.

DISPLAY: Built-in daylight-visible CRT, 5 in. E12 cm] diagonal; wiggle-trace or vat-iable-area display

INPUT IMPEDANCE: 20,000 ohms resistive. Input impedance

can be changed by resistor replacement.

MAXIMUM INPUT SIGNAL: 0.35 volts (-f- or -) before clipping.

PREAMPLIFIER GAIN: 33 db.

AMPLIFIER GAINT 0, 6, 12,, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 541 60, 66 'db (user--selectable).

QUANTIZATION LEVEL: 95 millivolts. This is the smallest signal which can be added to memory after amplification.

FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 3 hz to 1000 hz, +- 0.5 db (filter out).

FILTER: Lowcut, 40-hz corner frequency, butterworth filter (Optional higherfrequency filters
available). Damping factor is 0.5; rolloff is 12 db per octave.

TRIGGERING: By contact closure, positive or negative

voltage pulse, geophone signal, or, saturation of NPN transistor. Recording may also be
initiated by a manual START key.

POWER SUPPLY: 11 to 14 volts DC at approximately 3.5 amps, standby.
