2017-Present SUBSTITUTE TEACHER Fort Bend Independent School District, Sugar Land, TX
Serving as long-term substitute for art at Brazos Bend Elementary from August 2019 to present. Substitute for
all ages K-12, focusing on fine art, theatre, music, social sciences, business, science and math. Served as long-
term substitute for physical education at Austin Parkway Elementary in spring 2019.
2012 – 2016 EXECUTIVE OPERATIONS DIRECTOR Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center, Katy, TX
Chief administrator for organization’s arts-based pre-school program which included daily rotations of
visual art, music, and theatre.
Implemented all administrative and operations functions of a multi-discipline arts organization, including
accounting, payroll, budgeting, human resources, box office operations, strategic planning, marketing, and
facility management.
Served as organizations chief development officer: executed annual fund, grant & proposal writing, and
special events.
Annually taught classes in jewelry making and in metals artwork.

Administered all financial, accounting, payroll and human resource activities for Stuhr Museum & Stuhr
Foundation. Worked directly with Museum and Foundation Finance Committees and Personnel Committee.
Supervised clerical, admissions and gift shop staff and operations. Prepared various financial and budget
reports for private and governmental grants.

Prepared and revised annual operations budget and cashflow statement; drafted governmental grant budgets
and reports; prepared monthly and annual in-house financial reports, recruited and supervised administrative
interns, supervised payroll system, wrote personnel handbooks and policies, administrated company benefits
package; wrote personnel policies, maintained personnel records for annual staff of 65 and seasonal staff of
over 600.
1990 - 1992 ASSOCIATE CONTROLLER The Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe, NM
Administered financial management and reporting for SFO and SFO Foundation. Operated computerized
accounting system including AP/AR, Payroll and GL, supervised cash receipts management. Analyzed
audience development survey, wrote administrative portion of long range plan, wrote grant proposals,
collected donor research, and wrote press releases.
1989 BOX OFFICE MANAGER Brown County Playhouse, Nashville, IN
Supervised employees, cash and credit operations, computerized ticket system for 400-seat theatre.
Administered group sales and coupon book promotion.
EDUCATION
Completing coursework with Teachworthy to obtain Texas Alternative Teaching Certification with an
anticipated completion date of January 31, 2020. Completed and passed 178 ART EC-12 exam 10/2019.
Master of Arts in Arts Administration, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Study areas included: grant
writing, personnel management, theatre management, business law, music history, theatre history.
SPECIAL COURSES: Fund Raising Management, and Non-profit Corp. and Trust Law, taught by the
School of Philanthropy, Indianapolis, and the Fund Raising School.
Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, Idaho State University, Pocatello, ID. Advanced work
in managerial cost accounting, marketing research, advertising and promotions, consumer behavior. Additional

Stuhr Museum – Chaired Customer Service Task Force, created and implemented program of
institution-wide customer service training, developed and designed customer/visitor services
station, presented task force report and recommendations to executive director, staff and board of
directors.
Swope Art Museum – Initiated the development of retail sales gallery, Halcyon Gallery, in
unutilized building space to provide a retail outlet for local artists and thus further the museum’s
mission.
Swope Art Museum – Initiated the museum’s first touring exhibition, Creating History:
Indiana’s Historic Women Artists, a collaboration with six other Indiana museums. Secured
