THE TREATMENT

My story starts with a retired stuntman fixing a lightbulb inside of a living room and he uses chairs he
stacks them up and tries to reach for the lightbulb. He fixes it but it becomes very loose so flickers but as
it was not working before he is happy with it. He then falls off the chairs and as a result of this he ends up
with a bandage on his nose .He then works on a toilet unclogging it and water squirts on to his face
resulting in him not being able to see and slips on the floor and hurting his back.

The handyman moves on to mending a window but doesn’t do a good job, and tries to force the window
which results in him getting his left arm caught in the window frame. Once again this led him to damage
his arm.

The retired stuntman now a handyman still feels pain after recovering from his falls and is struggling at his
time of life so this is becoming a major factor for him. These accidents have left him being less mobile and
have prevented him from doing specific jobs which otherwise he would have done.

He feels that getting hurt is not worth it because he chose to retire as a stuntman because of accidents he
had as a stuntman so he feels that he is not moving forward in his life.

He then retraces his steps and reflects back to the time when he tried to fix a lightbulb in the living room
where he stacked the chairs up. This was the first mistake that he recognised because he should have
used a ladder instead. He decides in hindsight that he should enrol on a health and safety course before
he attempts any diy jobs. This might help him gain employment in the future as a handyman and prevent
him from having anymore accidents.
