A BRIEF LOOK AT THE PGDM CLASS OF 2016
The class of 2016 consists of 226 participants from diverse backgrounds. Many participants
have excelled in industry roles with work experience in top global companies. At SPJIMR,
pedagogic initiatives leverage on the diversity and depth of each of the participants, thus adding
to the cognitive content of the class. Each participant adds his or her own unique perspective
and learning to the rich pool of knowledge.

The batch is divided into four specializations:

The batch comprises of a good mix of male and female participants. SPJIMR is among the very
few top 10 Indian B-Schools to have female participants constituting a high percentage of 30-
35% of the batch over the past years.

The PGDM Batch of 2016 has students from diverse backgrounds. They bring with them
specialised knowledge and varied skills sets. The batch consists of Chartered Accountants,
Engineers, CFA Level 1, 2 and 3 students, Bachelor's in Applied Sciences, Economics and so
on, all of whom add quality, diversity and rich experience to the batch of 2016.

and above, from the industry. This fosters an environment of excellence where participants can
add value to the course while sharing their thoughts on the basis of their experience and thus

The Finance Batch of 2014-16 comprises students with rich experience in both financial and
non-financial domains with leading organisations such as Nomura, Deloitte, Ernst & Young,
PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Royal Bank of Scotland, i3 Consulting, Wells Fargo,
Futures First, Accenture, Hero Moto Corp, Reliance Industries Ltd., Vedanta and many more.

MARKETING

The Marketing batch of 2014-16 is a rich mix of professionals with experience across various
domains. The participants have worked in a diversified array of top international and domestic
firms including HUL, Deloitte, Microsoft, SAP Labs, Sony, Nomura, Samsung, Siemens and
Tata Motors, among others bringing a wide range of perspectives and variety into the classroom
learning experience.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

The Information Management Batch of 2014-16 consists of participants with work experience
across domains such as BFSI, Telecom, IT Consulting, Product Development and others. The
participants have worked in various multi-national companies such as Deloitte Consulting,
Goldman Sachs, HSBC, SAP Labs, E&Y, Cisco, Oracle, NetApp, Ericsson, Accenture, TCS
and Infosys among others that enables rich peer-to-peer learning.

MANUFACTURING & OPERATIONS

The Manufacturing & Operations Batch of 2014-16 consists of students with work experience
from reputed companies in various sectors, ranging from Maharatna and Navratna companies
such as BHEL, NTPC, CIL to private giants such as Tata Motors, L&T, M&M, Schneider
Electric, Reliance Industries, Ashok Leyland, Caterpillar and PepsiCo among others. This
enables learning and better cross industry understanding.
