transforming awareness in the current situation to a positive action and Caring for God’s
creation is very vital for its enjoyment by the current generation and generations to come.
One should be aware that a lot of people is in urgent need of help more specifically in
the basic needs aspect. However, the awareness should not stop there, as this calls for
action to be able to create a positive change in the other people’s lives. I realized that
Solidarity is an important phase for me to be able to uplift the life and dignity of other
people. On the other hand, I also realized that I should be responsible for taking care of
the earth as God gave us, He gave me dominion over it. He gave me the nature for my
I would like to cite the most recent typhoon that devastated the country, Tisoy, and
primarily Bicolanos were severely affected by the heavy rains and flooding. Even in our
municipality in Libmanan, numerous families lost their homes, again. It would take them
some time to be able to rebuild their homes, some would also seek for government

sure to properly dispose garbage and strictly avoid littering, as we all know that the wastes
take a great toll on our environment. I also make sure to conserve water as I know that
water is a scarce resource. I can do a lot of things to preserve God’s creation, we can all do
good things for our environment. Good acts however small and simple it is, I believe will
have magnified effect, if we will all practice it. And this calls for Solidarity coupled with
care and maintenance of the nature. With acting as one, with a common goal to conserve
the nature, we can somehow help uplift the lives of the needy. Of course, I believe we can
do a more direct act to help the less fortunate. The recent calamity is a perfect time to
show them that they matter, and that we care for them.
