ABAKADA Company started as a small merchandising of a various foods. After a few
years of success, the proprietor of the company becomes bigger. In which it cannot be avoided for
them to draw larger amount of funds through bank borrowing. Aside from that, it is really a need
to hire more personnel for its growing market and will decide whether to incorporate the business
and face the possible disagreements and misunderstanding with the other owner-to-be.

III. Alternatives
There are Three (3) alternatives that can be save as a solution to the existing issues in the
company.
First, prioritizing the payment of long term debts instead of having more personnel.
Where, it is more important to pay their liabilities first so that the long term interest will not be
getting higher as the time maturing obligation end. Second, incorporate the business to attract other
investors and to boost the company’s profit because of the additional investment. Third,
temporarily close one of the branches of ABAKADA Company to be able to lessen the company's
obligation.

IV. Proposed Solution

The ABAKADA Company's good alternative is to incorporate the business. With that, it
can help to lessen the problem and issues. It can also give opportunities to other people who are
compatible to handle the company's product and services by hiring more personnel.
V. Recommendation
As part of its stable success, it is recommended that ABAKADA Company will take
immediate action. In which, the proprietor has to read, evaluate, and analyze the nature of their
business. To be able to achieve its goals, the proprietor should think wise in terms of making
decisions for the better of his company.

In this generation, many people got inspired to the business that is being successful in a
way of helping ad serving other people. Despite of all the differences that these individuals possess,
they ensure that their primary goal will achieve.
Rags2Riches is a good example for a good and helping hand business that can sustain and
maintain it mission.

II. Background
Rags2Riches evolved out of the effort of the Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan, a Jesuit social
apostolate organization. From the very start, those who form Rags2Riches project wanted to help
the women in the Payatas to earn more live and more dignified lives. The women weaves more
multicolored dormant, rags and rugs that the Filipino used into their homes. Later on, the
Rags2Riches entered a competition to directly introduce the women in Payatas to the market who
buys their wares. When the business was growing bigger, the proprietors consider expanding
globally and building Rags2Riches as a brand featuring renowned designers. Rags2Riches seek
to improve livelihood outcomes of the poor and seek to exert positive influence on the market, on
the communities it works with and eventually on the world.

III. Alternatives
There are three (3) alternatives or solutions that we can propose so that it can maintain and
enhance the business.
First, to hire more personnel which will be their instrument in weaving the rags and rugs. The
number of supplies will increase and fast distribution will be applied to its market. Next, is to give
more benefits to the employees so that they can be more inspired and motivated to work harder.
Lastly, they must be more innovative and open minded to new possible products like wallets, bags,
hats and scarfs.

IV. Proposed Solution

The good solution for Rags2Riches business, will possibly adopting to be more innovative
and open minded to new possible products and maintain their reason of existence. With this
proposal, we can see more successful and leading business in the future.
V. Recommendation
It is highly recommended that the business will be responsible and ready to take the risk of
the possible improvement of the business. For the businessman, especially to those who runs big
businesses, we recommend this case study for them to know that the benefits for the employees
are important so that they will be more inspired to work.
