I. Purpose Of Notice

This is to inform Life Planners of the examination schedule for the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) –
July to September 2008 Examination.

II. Contents Of Notice

• M5 / M8 / M9 & Health Insurance Chinese Medium Schedule for July to September 2008
• Basic Competency Examination (BCE) Pencil and Paper (P&P) Schedule for July to December 2008.

III. Action And Deadline

Examination registration is strictly based on a first-come, first-served basis and NO withdrawal is

allowed upon confirmed registration.

1. Registration

For M5, M8, M9, HI and BCE, registrations must be done at CFE. For Certificate in General Insurance, Diploma in
Life Insurance and Diploma in General Insurance, registrations must be submitted electronically via SCI website at
http://www.scicollege.org.sg

2. Multiple Registrations
Multiple registrations are not allowed for all examinations. A candidate who has registered for a particular examination
is not allowed to register for the same exam on a different day unless he or she fails the examination.

3. Examination Fee
All examination fees includes 7% GST.

5. Study Guide (Applicable only to First Timer for M5, M8, M9 & HI)
Candidates registering for all the M5, M8, M9 & HI modules for the first time have to collect a Study Guide per
module to assist them in preparation for the examinations. They can now collect the study guides from Centre for
Excellence (CfE) upon registration.
Please take note that CFE Counter (1 Pickering Street, #02-02) open from Mondays to Fridays (10.00am to
4.00pm).

6. Study Guide
It is the responsibility of the candidates to obtain the correct edition of the textbook and latest supplementary notes (if
applicable). If candidates have any questions on the study guide, please contact SCI direct (Tel:6221 2336)

7. Names and Incorrect NRIC Numbers on Application Forms

Please ensure that candidates are registered for the examinations according to the name and NRIC numbers stated in
their NRIC or passport. Please note that candidates cannot proceed with the examination if their names and NRIC
numbers are not in accordance with their NRIC.

8. Candidates without NRIC or Valid Passport

Candidates must bring along their identity card or valid passport for the examinations. Please note that
candidates without identity card or valid passport will NOT be allowed to attempt the examination.

9. Release of Examination Result

No certificate will be issued for ALL examination taken. Results Slip will be given on the day of the examination.
