Eating Habits in the Past and Theses Days

Over the last century, Venezuela have changed in a lot of things. Before it was a cattle
country and nowadays, it is an oil country. Additionally, people’s eating habits have changed
dramatically, with their diets becoming almost unrecognizable from that of their grandparents. The
way that people shop, cook and dine has been altered by their attitudes to the food. Venezuela has
contrast thigs in the way to get food, schedule food and the king of food.

One important difference between eating habits in the past and these days is the way to get
food. Fifty years ago, Venezuelans got their food directly the farms and plants that people planted
in backyards and ranches. These people took the food and they cooked with this food at home.
Nowadays, only some people get the foot at the supermarket or minimarket and they decide to
prepare this food at home, the rest of people eat the breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack in
restaurants, fast food shop, food truck, and others. This method is specially practiced by the young
people.

Another difference between eating habits in the past and these days is the scheduled time
for eating food. In the past, the Venezuelan’s families had their meals at the same time every day.
For example, the breakfast was at 7:00 a.m., the lunch was at 12:00 p.m. and dinner was at 5:00
p.m., so their body were accustomed to knowing when to expect food. This discipline helped to
keep healthy their body. In the modern day in Venezuela, a lot of people have lost this disciplined
of the eating meals at the same time and a lot of people eat less the three meals or eat only some
snacks. Some people skipping breakfast and lunch, and they prefer to drink several cups of coffee
to replace the meals and keep something in the stomach.
Finally, there is a huge difference in the food consumed in the past and the food consumed
nowIn the past, people ate health foot that grew in their own farms, and this food was composed
for vegetables, fruits, wheat, grains, protein etc. It was fresh for people to consume. This kind of
food was rich in vitamins and minerals that helped to keep a good health body. Nowadays, like
Venezuelan’s in the modern world don’t have time for cook, so they decide to eat outside home,
the food that they consume is neither healthy, nor fresh. They have a higher percentage of fact in
their bodies than people did in the past.

Although, eating habits in the past and these days have many differences, some people
prefer to follow the old habit. Increasing home-cooked meals and fresh home-grown vegetables to
keep a good health in these days.
