To Whom It May Concern:

It is my great pleasure and honor to commend to you Keely Perry consideration for
acceptance into your university, as I have had the pleasure of teaching Keely in my Education
and Training course in Frisco I.S.D for the past year. As one of my students, I found Keely’s
competence to be clearly outstanding. Through these experiences, I have witnessed this
intelligent and compassionate young lady mature and refine many admirable qualities.
Everything Keely does, in the areas of academics, service, and leadership, she does to the
fullest because that is the way she lives her life. Most importantly, she will serve as a
phenomenal teacher for the students she will serve in her classroom once she pursues the
field of education.

Keely stands out in class as a student who eagerly strives to learn and to improve in her few
areas of weakness. She constantly uses her problem-solving skills to find solutions regarding
problems and conflicts. Furthermore, she illustrates responsibility as she works
conscientiously on assignments and diligently aims to go beyond what is expected of her.
Additionally, Keely demonstrates the application of the knowledge she has gained through
insightful analysis, logical application, and strong verbal and written expression. She can
visualize abstract ideas, and she exhibits superior mental discipline to meet the day-to-day
expectations of her teachers and mentors.

Keely displays a unique ability to establish and maintain strong personal, social, and working
relationships with her peers, teachers, and other significant adults in her life. Keely serves as
a capable leader who always acts as an excellent role model for other teens her age; she has
set high moral standards for herself and displays honesty and integrity at a level that
surpasses most young people her age. In class, she shows compassion for her fellow
students, as she is genuinely concerned about the welfare of others. She consistently
demonstrates a desire to collaborate with her peers; when cooperating with her classmates,
she takes initiative to set high standards for the group, which, in turn, lays the foundation for
the group to produce quality work. Furthermore, she is respectful and helpful when dealing
with people of authority, and she willingly learns from constructive criticism as a
level-headed, self-disciplined worker. Keely has often offered her assistance in helping me
with various tasks in and out of the classroom because she has desired to help make my job
easier. Most importantly, she has always made the point to relate to me on a personal level
by showing me that she respects me as a real person rather than merely a figurehead who
imparts knowledge to her in a classroom setting; I can always count on Keely to display that
much-needed smile or to ask the sincere question, “How are you doing today, Mrs. Fryman?”
when I most need a student to remind me that I am making a difference.
Through Keely’s field-site experiences and my observations of her working with her mentor
and students, she has displayed a passion for teaching and an aptitude to work with children
to mold their futures in all realms: academically, behaviorally, emotionally, and socially.
Keely strives to learn how to be an effective teacher and seeks to improve in areas where she
needs some growth. She demonstrates the application of the knowledge she has gained in her
classroom lectures and activities with me at the Career and Technology Center and from her
mentors at her field sites. Keely acts as a role model for her students, and she exhibits
confidence when working with them. She shows compassion for her students, as shows them
that she is genuinely concerned about their personal welfare and interests, as well as their
academic success. By intentionally building connections with her students, Keely has
developed strong bonds with her students in her efforts to get to know the students on a more
personal level. When interacting with the students, she encourages them while also holding
them to expectations of classroom conduct, work ethic and mastery of skills. Keely
demonstrates a desire to collaborate with her mentors and peers. She has communicated
challenges and successes in her internship with me and her fellow Education and Training
classmates to gain insight on how to approach students and certain situations in her internship
and in future classroom. Furthermore, she is respectful and helpful when dealing with people
of authority, and she willingly learns from constructive criticism as a level-headed,
self-disciplined worker.

Keely ’s talents stretch far beyond academics and social skills, as she shines brightly in her
roles of service and leadership at school and in the community. Keely has served as captain
for the Lebanon Trail High School for 4 years, and she has earned money as a swim coach
providing lessons and creating her own camp for younger swimmers. She has been a
member of Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE), Family, Career, and Community
Leaders of America (FCCLA), Political Conversations Environmental Club, and National
Honors Society. Finally, Keely received the Lebanon Trail High School Trailblazer Award,
which is given to a swimmer on the team that embodies the four characteristics of the LTHS
graduate profile: Future Focused Leaders, Innovative, Driven by Values and Socially
Empathetic.

Remarkably, Keely manages to participate in these extra-curricular activities and

employment while achieving success in her educational requirements at Lebanon Trail High
School. Keely has challenged herself in her academics, and she has been highly successful in
those courses. These organizations and courses demand concentration, patience,
organization, and commitment-all of which Keely implements into her life.

Finally, I firmly believe that Keely will succeed in whatever she attempts due to her
unyielding quest to take advantage of every opportunity presented to her. Keely is most
deserving of your consideration for acceptance into your university for she will dignify any
scholarship, institution or organization with which she associates herself.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Nicky Fryman
