INTRODUCTION
Filipinos are very much known worldwide for our family management skills and
for our strong family values. One of those traditions we have regarding families, are
maintaining close ties with our families, and when we say 'family' here in the philippines,
that includes our extended families such as cousins, uncles, aunts, sometimes even
non-blood-related people but grown really close to our family, and also our
grandparents.
Grandparents plays vital roles in Philippine society, and also on individual lives.
We Filipinos evidently show our love and respect for our grandparents by remaining
close with them, even residing with them, unlike on other countries were elderlies are
being put to Home for the Aged and such.
In the rise of millenialism culture on today's youth, are the strong family values
that we are known for is still evident? Are their grandparents still relevant in their lives?
How about those underrepresented part of the said demographics? The elderlies
in the LGBT community? How are their stories still relevant today? Or do they still have
relevance?
