Josh and Cross’s Story

Josh Evans and Cross Richards are childhood best friends until the 4th grade. The two of them are
inseparable. Whenever one of them play, go to school, they always go with each other. They also share
the same interests like playing the piano, volleyball, and their most favorite past time hobby, Volleyball.

Josh secretly develops a crush on Cross but shrugs off the feeling and identifies himself as a straight boy.
After all he doesn’t want to be known as a faggot by his friend. He moves and acts just like a normal boy.
He is good at music and sports.

Cross on other hand is known to be the coolest and most admired guy by his classmates due to his looks.
He is so good at math and sports as well that his school sends him to compete on Math Quizzes within
their city.

As they were growing Josh starts to like Venice Watson, a transferee pupil who secretly admires Cross,
during their 4th grade. Josh befriends Venice by sharing his snacks with her thus making her a part of their
friendship with Cross. Venice, also being good at math, joins Cross in preparing for the competition. They
were mentored privately in the library by their school math coordinator along with the other pupils from
the different grade levels.

Josh then becomes aware of Venice and Cross becoming quickly very close and comfortable with each
other prompting him to be left unnoticed by Venice.

Their friendship then was marred when Josh witnesses Venice kissing Cross lips to lips at the back of the
stage during the school commencement exercises. Josh runs crying with his heart broken over his puppy
love.

Josh starts to ignore Cross over the summer and doesn’t want to see him. Cross is left clueless about why
Josh treats him that way. He tried visiting Josh over in his room but was pushed away by Josh spraining
his wrist. Cross was so hurt emotional when Josh calls him names.

Feeling apologetic that night, Josh called over Cross’s house only to find out he went to his Grandma’s
home in the next town to spend the weekend.

Over the next few days Josh wasn’t able to see Cross. Fearing that Josh still might be angry at him, Cross
purposely leaves the Videogame parcel in front of Josh’s doorstep at 9PM. He was leaving for US that day
to be reunited with his Father who is a Physicist at NASA and also to continue his studies with his other
relatives.

The next day he receives a parcel wrapped in a piece of paper with a note: “I just want to finish this game
with you before I go. I’m leaving this for you to finish”. Josh goes to Cross’s house but finds it empty then
sits on the doorstep and cries.

9 years later.

Josh is accepted as part of the University Volleyball varsity and is University Supreme Student Council’s
Vice President. Venice becomes Josh’s ex-girlfriend (they dated for 5 years during their High School Days)
and also is now his best friend. They have become close to each other even if they had been together for
5 years as dating. Josh has become Venice’s confidante and he has been protective of her. He later
discovers that a certain guy named Edward tries to date Venice. Josh becomes suspicious about Edwards
identity and tries to make Venice avoid him. His suspicions were fueled when he mistakes Edward as one
of the guys who sells illegal drugs inside the university.

Edward, the Senior member of the Cobra Fraternity, has a reputation as being one of the fresh and
handsome faces in the campus and has been rumored to be a Casanova. He takes up engineering and has
been a very consistent dean’s lister.

Driven with the determination to protect Venice from the so called “Casanova”, Josh corners Edward at a
secluded room in the CAS building and confesses to Edward he like him and he wants to date Edward. He
plans to make Edward to fall in love with him though chances are slim. Edward shrugs Josh away but Josh
insists in telling him to date a bisexual guy like him in secret for 3 months. Disgusted, Edward punches
Josh on the abdomen. (Josh wasn’t sure if he was bisexual or gay at this point).

A week later, Josh still insists in distracting Edward and Venice towards each other. Eventually Edward
gives in to the plan after finding out that Josh is rich enough and that he can use him to milk money out
of him while keeping Venice within his reach in becoming his girlfriend.

For the next couple of weeks, Josh has been successful in making Venice and Edward avoid each other.
Edward on the other hand annoys Josh by pranking him with his co-fraternity buddies. He invites Edward
to watch him play in the Volleyball tournaments, delivers food to Edwards form, insists on playing with
Edward his videogames or drag.

The two becomes close to each other and develops a real romantic feeling. Both abandon their plans and
pursues what they have right now while keeping from each other what they really planned to do.

Venice discovers Josh and Edward’s secret romantic relationship about it and confronts both. She
uncovers that Josh tried to protect him from Edward by dating him. Edward knowing about what the plan
was supposed to be leaves Josh.

Josh tried contacting Edward but he cannot be reached. He can’t even be seen around the campus.

He sees Edward on a bar drinking very hard. He goes to him and tries to talk to him. Edward was so hurt.
Josh confesses his real feelings and is ready to be his boyfriend for real this time. Edward forgives him
while they kissed.

The twists don’t end there for Josh discovers Edward’s real plan: to use him for money. Josh now becomes
confused. The trouble is then added when everything he gave Edward has also been given away to the
fraternity members and is misused.
