Kota Tua
During at the bus we have said, eat, and there are sleeps. At there we are visiting
the historical museum of jakarta.

Kota Tua an important area in the colonial period. This area covers parts of West
Jakarta and North Jakarta, starting from Sunda Kelapa Harbor to the Museum of
Bank Indonesia. Once upon a time the Port of Sunda Kelapa was the largest and
busiest port used for buying and selling activities in international trade activities.
While the area around the Bank Indonesia Museum and Fatahilah Museum is one
of the centers of colonial administration.
Just like the old city area in several cities in Indonesia and even the world, the Old
City of Jakarta is used as a historical tourist place by changing the function of old
buildings into museums that hold a lot of valuable information about the history
of the city. Because of its wide coverage, the Old City Area of Jakarta has several
interesting tourist objects that you must visit in order to get to know history,
including:

1
Sunda Kelapa Harbor

This ancient port which was once the main port of international trade witnessed
the glory of Jakarta or Batavia in its time. In the past, this port was very crowded
with traders from China, Arabia and India who were busy selling merchandise
they brought to exchange for money or spices.

Because its age is quite old, Sunda Kelapa Port is even claimed to have been
operating since Jakarta was established. This place has witnessed the glory of the
Kingdom of Pajajaran, the arrival of the Portuguese, the prosperous life of the
Kingdom of Demak, until the time of the beginning of Dutch rule in Indonesia.

Another first, another now. At present, this port is used as a ‘parking’ site for local
fishing boats. But that does not mean that this makes Sunda Kelapa Port less
attractive. The right time to visit this tourist spot is on the evening before dusk.
The silhouette of fishing boats combined with orange light will be a beautiful
photo object to remember. For culinary delights, around this tourist spot there are
many food stalls that serve a variety of delicious seafood preparations.

Fatahillah Museum

This museum is also known as the Batavia Museum or the Jakarta History
Museum. Consisting of three floors, this museum has no less than 25,000
collections of historical objects. It is suitable for those who want to see furniture,
ceramics, cannons, inscriptions and other unique artifacts that have accompanied
the development of the city of Jakarta.

To be able to enter the Fatahillah museum, you have to pay an entrance ticket
which is quite cheap, which is only IDR 2,000, quite cheap right? The museum is
open every Tuesday to Sunday, between 9am and 3pm. This museum is purely
founded as a space to show various historical objects. In the past, the Fatahillah
Museum has also been used as a city hall, court, and even there has an
underground prison. One of the most important places in this museum is not
located inside, but on a field outside. In this place, invaders usually executed
prisoners.

Bank Indonesia Museum

Bank Indonesia Museum is one of the tourist attractions that attract the attention
of many tourists. The building where the museum stands was once a Binnen
Hospital. But over time, De Javasche Bank stood in 1828 or later became the
forerunner of Bank Indonesia.

There are many interesting objects that you can see at the Bank Indonesia
Museum, especially for those of you who like photography. No wonder this place
is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the Old City area of Jakarta.

2
The Bank Indonesia Museum can be visited every Tuesday to Thursday, which is
between 8:00 WIB until 14:30 WIB, on Friday at 08:00 WIB until 11:00 WIB and
on Saturdays and Sundays, namely between 9:00 WIB until 16:00 WIB.
Interestingly, visitors can enter this museum without spending any money.

Red Shop

Another destination that should also not be forgotten while visiting Kota Tua
Jakarta is the Red Shop. Baron Van Imhoff, VOC governor general and initiator
of the building of Bogor Palace is the figure who founded this unique place. Once
inside, you will find the atmosphere and colonial-era furnishings that are still so
awake to the present.

But unfortunately, entering this one place is not as easy as imagined. Its status is
not open to the public, making you have to get a special permit from the
authorities to be able to enjoy the colonial heritage in the Red Shop. But if you
just want to take pictures and enjoy the ancient atmosphere around it, you can
walk around the area around this building.

Here are some interesting places that you can visit in the tourist area of Kota Tua
Jakarta. It is recommended that you do not come on weekends, because this place
is usually very crowded with visitors who come from outside the city and within
the city. This area is also often used as a favorite place for various kinds of
photography clubs in the capital to hunt interesting photos to add to their photo
collection.

Besides the tourist spots above you can also visit other spots such as:

Museum Wayang Bahari Museum

Bali Museum of Fine Arts and Istiqlal Mosque

Ceramics
Kota Station Dunia Fantasi Ancol

Asemka Market Grand Indonesia Shopping Town

Kota Intan Bridge Etc.

ITC Mangga Dua Mall

3
After we out from the museum of Kota Tua during the trip on the bus we sang and
joked and take a sleep and ready to the next trip at Lubang Buaya Museum

Lubang Buaya Museum

Refer to a well located on Jl. Raya Pondok Gede, Lubang Buaya Village,
Cipayung District, East Jakarta. The name Lubang Buaya comes from the legend
of crocodiles that live in rivers near the area. Previously Lubang Buaya was a
training center for the Indonesian Communist Party or PKI which later became the
dumping ground for victims of the G30S on September 30, 1965.

Now at that location there is the Crocodile Hole Memorial Field which contains
the Pancasila Monument, a well with a diameter of 75 centimeters as deep as 12
meters, a victim dumping place, a museum of diorama, and a room containing
relics. There were also houses that were used to torture and even kill seven
revolutionary heroes. While the management is now the TNI History Center and
related agencies.

Tragic History of Lubang Buaya

There were a total of seven people who were victims of the exile at Lubang
Buaya. Those who were killed and still alive were taken to that location to be
tortured to nothing. Namely three senior army officers killed at the residence were
Lt. Gen. Ahmad Yani, Maj. Gen. MT Haryono, and Brigadier General DI
Panjaitan. Minister of Defense and Security General Abdul Harris Nasution who
initially escaped along with his aide named Andreas Tandean. While other
survivors were Maj. Gen. S. Parman, Maj. Gen. R. Suprapto, and Brigadier
General Sutoyo.
The torture of the five survivors began with the determination of S. Parman who
was not willing to sign the Council of Generals. The Council of Generals is a term

4
for a group of generals who are rumored to want to betray President Soekarno and
the government of the Republic of Indonesia. After being tortured, between life
and death, the victims were dragged and put in the Lubang Buaya well. Not until
that, PKI members opened fire on the victims to make sure they had died. Then
their bodies were covered with rubber tree trash and a whole banana tree.

Now a historical tourist spot

Even though it is confusing that the location of Lubang Buaya is a haunted and
sacred place, it can now be visited by the general public. The ticket price for
adults and children is Rp. 4,000 per person, a bus parking ticket costs Rp. 25,000,
a sedan car is Rp. 15,000, and a motorcycle Rp. 2,000. There is a large courtyard
and a museum building to the right that contains dioramas of events related to the
PKI. There is also the Pancasila Sakti Monument which was inaugurated on
October 1, 1981 in the form of a monument with seven bronze statues of dead
officers and a giant garuda statue with wings expanding behind the officer statue.

Lubang Buaya Cemetuk Banyuwangi Monument

Not only in Jakarta, the G30S memorial monument also stands in Cemetuk
Village, Cluring District, Banyuwangi. Named the Pancasila Jaya Monument,
there is a giant garuda statue that develops wings like in Jakarta, complete with
reliefs from the G30S event under his feet. There are three square holes behind the
Garuda statue. The guardian of the monument explained that the big hole used to
be a dumping place for 42 people while the two small holes were each for 10
people, all of which were known as Pemuda Pancasila.
The tense atmosphere of the tragic events by the communists in the past left grief
and the search for truth until now. It is appropriate for the successor of the nation
to remember, reflect, and pray for the heroes of independence. Because a great
nation is a nation that values the services of heroes. Fill independence by
strengthening unity and unity.

Next are ancient cars from the Pancasila Sakti Monument:

Service Car Lieutenant General Ahmad Yani
During his time as Minister of the Army, Lieutenant General Ahmad Yani used
the Old Mobile 98 GM official car which is now parked on the Monument to the
Pancasila Sakti yard. The black car's condition looks still very smooth and clean.
With the Decree of the Army Ministry Number: Kep-504/6/1966, on June 6, 1966
the official car was removed from the responsibility of the Army administration
belonging to the family of Lt. Gen. Ahmad Yani.

5
However, in May 1989 at the initiative of the Head of the ABRI Center for
History and Tradition the car was finally exhibited at the Pancasila Sakti
Monument.
Service Car of former President Soeharto
This Toyota Land Cruiser carries many interesting stories about the journey of
former President Soeharto when he was still a Major General of the TNI.
Toyota Jeep with number number 04-62957 / 44-10, this was used by TNI Major
General Suharto when drafting a strategy to crush G30S / PKI.

kidnap and carry the body of TNI Brigadier General D.I Panjaitan to Lubang
Buaya Village, East Jakarta.
