CHAPTER 1

THE PROBLEM AND THE BACKGROUND

The K-12 covers Kindergarden and 12 years of basic education(six years of primary
education,four years of Junior High School,and two years of Senior High Schoo[SHS]) to
provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills,develop life long learners and prepare
graduates for tertiary education,middle-level skills development,employment,and
entrepreneurship.

Examples,activities,songs,poems,stories,and illustrations are based on local culture,history,and


reality.This makes the lessons relevant to the learners and easy to understand.

Students acquire in-depth knowledge,skills,values,and attitude through continuity and


consistency across all levels and subjects.

Discussions on issues such as Disaster Risk Reduction(DRR),Climate Change Adaptation,and


Information & Communication Technology(ICT) are included in the enhanced curriculum.

Everyone worries about things that happen at school from time to time.It’s a rare student who
sails through school without experiencing some sort of issue.

There’s a lot of pressure to get a good results,and the stresses and strains of school life can
sometimes feel too much.The important thing is to recognize there’s a problem to be solved and
ask for help as soon as you can.

Some school problems you might worry about include:

Finding school work difficult,poor academic performance,lack of motivation in school,lost of


interest in school work.

The students sometimes don’t have enough time to search information in the library,having
trouble with managing time for things like extracurricular activities,poor school or academic
support,especially in relation to heavy workloads.
STATEMENT OF THE STUDY

This study shows how the internet having a part in the study of a student.

Futhermore,this study will also describe and explain how the students affects by the internet.

The following questions were answered by this research.

1. What are the things that High School students were experiencing as a student that is
under K-12?

1.1 What is/are the consequences of having a internet?

2. How can you handle as a High School student such as situations?


*Having many assignments and do not have a enough time to search in library..

3. What is/are the possible benefits of the internet in your studies as a High School Student?

Importance of the Study

For Students

By knowing the effects and the benefits of the internet .Students may have knowledge how

the internet affects them and how it is working to help them in their projects assignments and so

fort.As well as the consequences that may happen when they have a internet or not.Students may

have some idea in the future in using the internet as their weapon to express themselves and to

help in the world problems.


For Parents

Through this research parents may have a idea to support their childrens to used internet with

their studies and eventually by using it to speak themselves.In addition,parents will also motivate

their children to use internet in moderation.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

This study is about the effects of using the internet in studying while in High School.

Twenty respondent are chosen from the Pampanga High School (PHS),Academic Year

2019-2020.The respondents answered the questionnaire that were provided to them.The

Answers were then analyze by the researchers and was interpreted after.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

Internet. An electronic communications network that connects computer networks and

Organizational computer facilities around the world.

Stress. A state of mental tension and worry cause by problems in your life,work,etc.

Something that causes strong feelings of worry or anxiety.physical force or pressure.

Benefits. A good or helpful result or effect.

Consequences. Something that happens as a result of a particular action or set of conditions.

Tertiary Education. Referred to as third-level,third-stage or post-secondary education,is the

educational level following the completion of a school providing a secondary education.
