General example case 1: Top Elevation

General example case 1: side Elevation view

General example case 2: Top Elevation view: with horizontal

10mm square rod welded to I-beam (it is weld on top and two
side on bottom as it sits on bricks rest of the space is cover
in mortar). As the bricks goes up each layer has rod.

General example case 2: side Elevation

76 x 76 x 6 WIDE FLANGE SHAPE GFRP

Space between bricks to use motor 10 mm.

Standard UK brick size fire clay brick (215 x 102.5 x 65mm)

The Height max of wall is 2.5m

What required for the works is to make several tutorial of video?

1) Making I-column and assigning the properties of FRP (Very simple tasks)
2) However the wall have to be hard as require specific dimension meshing and specially
mixed with mortar living spaced between Layer of brick as mention above.
3) The mortar and brick properties and strength must be researched on chosen UK Standard.
4) The FRP must be fine mesh for accuracy.
5) The hard part is combining three element motar, brick and I-section for case 1 and case
2 have rods. Assumed rod and I-beam at center neutral axis of brick.

Now this is important part of tutorial to show amendment

Model Case 1

1) How to add one more I section. Then to spaced specifically how apart I want.
2) Also how to apply UDL or Point load vertical with different location, what boundary
condition should be used. This for compression related
3) How to plot Stress or Force Vs displacement or strain graph. As each time the load increases

Model case 2:
1)
To put horizontal beam on top and connected to two column. Which look like an simple
portal frame cover with bricks and motar. Then so I can apply UDL or vertical load then
analysis. The horizontal beam can be with same material and dimension of column.

2)
Additional feature of this case: On left, right side and middle gap covered with masonry,
further boundary condition what required, assume from your knowledge and why?

Model Case 3

How to Apply 10mm square Rod to each layer brick and weld to beam. Also if I do not want to apply
on each layer but specific then how to amend

Further, video I would like about how to apply load to inplane or outplane lateral load. Also what
should be the boundary condition that is in practical case.

Ensure any other relevant stuff require such as shear interaction or something. At is related
to analysis

Model Case 4:
Combination of Case 1 and 2

Model case 5:
This model is special. This model is small scaled model that will correlated to actual model
experiment for compression for validation purpose. Such as Wallette test etc.

Here you decide what size and test and dimension you want to consider. For example to do
motor, brick or Frp compression test then check the strength and input that into the abaqus,
then all combined experimental test and check the simulation model for validation
purposes.
