I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, 100% of the students must be able to achieve 75% proficiency
in the following:
1. Determine the use or function of artworks by evaluating its utilization and combination of
art elements and principles;
2. Compare the use or functions of artworks of classical Greek to indigenous materials used by
Orasnons;
3. Appreciate the innovativeness of people creating these artworks with a purpose.

III. PROCEDURE:
A. Drill (5 minutes)
Attendance
Let students sing a welcome or greeting song, “Maupay nga adlaw sangkay”

B. Review (5 minutes)
Review on the previous lesson.

C. Preparation (10 minutes)


Show the following pictures and let students identify the name of each. Ask if they have these at
home and how each one is utilized at home.

D. Developmental Activity (20 minutes)


Show the pictures of samples of Greek paintings on pages 144-147, LM.
Describe each artwork and determine the functions of each.
Let students compare the functions of each Greek artwork to indigenous materials of our folk
people.

E. Enrichment (5 minute)
What are the characteristics of Greek paintings? Recitation

F. Application (10 minutes)


Let students write a two-paragraph how to preserve the indigenous materials inherited from old
folks just like how the Greek art paintings were preserved and compare the characteristics of
both.
G. Assessment (5 minutes)

V. ASSIGNMENT:
Read about the paintings of the Roman era, pp. 147-149 LM and find out what is the function of
each painting.
