Bible Verses For Teens

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the
believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12 NIV

"Praise the LORD, O my soul;

all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-

Who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you with love and compassion,

who satisfies your desires with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

The LORD works righteousness

and justice for all the oppressed.

He made known his ways to Moses,

his deeds to the people of Israel:

The LORD is compassionate and gracious,

slow to anger, abounding in love.

He will not always accuse,

nor will he harbor his anger forever;

he does not treat us as our sins deserve

or repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,

so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west,

so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children,

so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

for he knows how we are formed,

he remembers that we are dust.

As for man, his days are like grass,

he flourishes like a flower of the field;

the wind blows over it and it is gone,

and its place remembers it no more.

But from everlasting to everlasting

the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-

with those who keep his covenant

and remember to obey his precepts.

The LORD has established his throne in heaven,

and his kingdom rules over all.

Praise the LORD, you his angels,

you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word."

Psalm 103:1-20 NIV

""For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to
harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray
to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your
heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.
I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the
LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.""
Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV

"Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God
is giving you."
Exodus 20:12 NIV

"Listen, my son, to your father's instruction

and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
They will be a garland to grace your head
and a chain to adorn your neck."

Proverbs 1:8-9 NIV

"Remember your Creator

in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
"I find no pleasure in them"- "

Ecclesiastes 12:1 NIV

"Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe
yourselves with humility toward one another, because,
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under
God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because
he cares for you.
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking
for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your
brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings."

1 Peter 5:5-9 NIV

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16 NIV

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one
another."
John 13:34 NIV

""Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me."
John 14:1 NIV

"So do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Isaiah 41:10 NIV

"He who guards his mouth and his tongue

keeps himself from calamity."
Proverbs 21:23 NIV
