MOTIVATION

► The need for self and remote controlled robots have been rise for
several military purposes .
► However , these robots are used to augment the soldiers capability
in a open terrain in the past decade and put forth with enormous
efforts in development of robots ,research as also carried out in
various parts of the world.
► The main motive here is to develop an robot that replaces human
efforts in battle field and an advancement which is termed as “A
SEVENTH SENSE TECHNOLOGY”.
ABSTRACT

► In the world that has an enormous potential for conflict ,militaries

around the world are taking Patton’s words very seriously.Right from the
ancient times, the foot soldiers has fought and won the battle for the
victor.
► However, over the past decade or so,the Infantry’s role has
changed-the emergence of smart munitions and precision aerial
bombardment has resulted in the infantry manner entering tough urban
combat situations to mop up any remaining resistance.
► Tomorrow’s heroic soldier is not going to jump in to the battle. Our
system basically has concepts of vertical and horizontal movements for
moving articles in battle field. It also has a wireless surveillance camera
for looking in to the encroachment of enemy in to our battle zone.
► One of the main advantages of our system is that the mode
switching can be done very fast without any delay.
INTRODUCTION

► One can create life,no one has the right to destroy it.Right from the
earlier stage millions of human have fought for their country and have
lost their lives.
► The Vision system is used to carry out human detection and tracking of
the objects.
► Here we go for a system, which work in manual mode as well as
automatic mode.
► In automatic mode, decisions are taken by the robot on the basis of
sensor reading. Our robot continuously monitors,if it detects something
(i.e., fire, metal, smoke ),it will indicate it through a buzzer.
► In manual mode, the robot is under control and decisions are taken by
the user.
LITERATURE SURVEY

► There is much advancement in the field of Engineering, robotics in

particular. Many robotic systems have been developed for various
purposes.

► As per the journal published by:

A. S Pavithra & S A SivaSankari(Assistant Professors - Saveetha University,

Thandalam):They focused on the position controlling of the Robot.

B. V Prasanna Balaji & H Goutham(Assistant Professors – Sri Sai Ram

Engineering college,Chennai):They focused on the bomb detection
and intruder detection(un authorized persons) in the battle field.
PROPOSED SYSTEM

► Here in our system we are going to control the robot from remote
locations in addition to remote monitoring(i.e.,user mode ).

► Our system also has an automatic mode in which it can take it’s own
decision for combating.

► In addition to these,we are also including some of the features like metal
detection, fire detection and smoke detection.

► Thus our system is more reliable to combat the enemy than the existing
system.

TOOLS REQUIRED

HARDWARE: SOFTWARE:
► Atmega 16 Micro controller ► MATLAB
► PIR Sensor ► RS232 cable
► Metal detection sensor ► Personal Computer
► A/V Wireless camera
► DC motor
► TV tuner card
► Smoke detector
► Temperature sensor
► LCD
ADVANTAGES

► One of the main advantage is mode switching can be done very

fast without any time delay.
► Capable of detecting metal, fire and smoke.
► Alerting through buzzer alarming system.
► Our robot has remote controlling facility so that it can be controlled
from any where in the world.
► Our robot can be provided as an application “SPY ROBOT”.
► Our robot reduces human and property loss in battle.
