ii) Blinks Continuously when the Unit is set in Configuration mode.
(2) LED 1 iii) Blinks once after blinking of LED2 (LED2 blinks multiple times and it is not fixed)
forming a pattern to indicate network failure status. Which notifies that the transmitter
unit is not in vicinity of the receiver or in absence of receiver unit.

Transmission LED indicator :

i) Blinks after every transmit interval preset by user indicating transmission of data.
ii) Blinks multiple times(which is not fixed) following with a blink of LED1 to form a
pattern indicating network failure status. Which notifies that the transmitter unit is not
(3) LED 2 in vicinity of the receiver or in absence of receiver unit.
iii) Blinks for every 2sec transmitting the data along with LED1 when the Transmitter
unit is in Configuration mode.
** Transmit interval of 2sec is default setting only in configuration mode, it will not
change any of existing configuration settings.

3. MOUNTING

While mounting the transmitter, care should be taken to make sure it is as far away from any metal objects. If nearby metal object
gets too close to the transmitter, it has the potential to interfere the radiations with the way the unit radiates and may cause signal
loss or possibly even the inability to communicate at all with your receiver.

4. OPERATING STEPS FOR ZGU202
4.1 Connection
1. Connect transmitter to USB port of your PC through USB to RS232 converter i.e. DCC501 as shown in fig.

Fig 10

Fig 11

2. Turn on the instrument, the Power LED (RED) will glow indicating transmitter has turned ON following with blinking of
Transmission LED (GREEN) indicating data transmission has started. Press & hold setup key till Power LED starts flashing
continuously indicating transmitter has entered Setup mode.
3. Run the ZGU202 utility as administrator the screen will be displayed as shown below.

MAN#772R2/P8/14/300918/A
4. Click on scroll down option of the COM PORT and select the required COM PORT No.

5. After selecting the COM PORT click on connect, all the default settings will be retrieved and displayed.
MAN#772R2/P9/14/300918/A

6. The device type option indicates the type of device connected (ZGE201/ZGE202).
4.2 Configuration Settings

1. Device ID is user configurable, you can scroll up and down upto 48 nos to change it and select as per your choice.
Remember each device should have its independent device ID, it cannot be repeated for more than one device.
2. Display offset will allow you to nullify the offset error if any.
3. Transmission delay is the time interval between each transmission, you can change it as per your requirement from 5sec to
3600sec

MAN#772R2/P10/14/300918/A
4. Input Type option provides you with selection of different input for different Transmitter unit. For ZGE201 it is only RTD.

5. For Device type ZGE202, input type is different Thermocouple combinations as K,J,T,B,S,R,N,E.

6. After setting the parameter as per your requirement click on update to save the configuration and click on disconnect to
MAN#772R2/P11/14/300918/A

disconnect the instrument.

7. Press and hold communication key on transmitter till the power LED stops flashing continuously indicating you have come
out of communication mode.
4.3 Network Settings
1. To change the PAN ID keep the receiver of same network ON. Then Go to Network setting window for setting PAN ID.

2. Click on Associate button for configuring PAN ID then current parameter values will be read & displayed on the screen.

MAN#772R2/P12/14/300918/A
3. If receiver is not present then it will read default values as shown below.

4. For changing PAN ID Enter PAN ID whose receiver is ON & click on apply button.
For eg. if the receiver is ON with PAN ID D15 as shown in picture then the transmitter's pan id should also be set to D15.
One network will have only one PAN ID, one network consisting of 1 receiver, n number of Transmitter and repeater as
required.
If receiver is ON with same PAN ID as that of transmitter it will read the associated network parameters as shown.
MAN#772R2/P13/14/300918/A
5. If receiver is ON with different PAN ID as that of transmitter, it will read default Fail condition network parameters as shown.

6. To Reset the network click on reset network.

7. Reset network is to be done, if changes are not successfully applied.
For eg., if pan id gets changed but other network parameters such as operating pan id, 16-bit operating pan id or operating
channel are not changed as per the network settings of the powered receiver.
8. This may happen in extreme condition due to loss of response or any false condition. So you can click on reset network to
refresh the device again.
9. Clicking on reset network will not cause any false changing of PAN ID.
10. When required Network Settings are done click on Disconnect button to disconnect the instrument.
11. Press and hold communication key on transmitter till the power LED stops flashing continuously indicating you have come
out of communication mode.
