Yes, chillated micronutrients can be mixed with BASF fungicides like Merivon & Cabrio Top.
The major problem faced at the Walnut stage is leaf fall. BASF's 'Merivon' is the
recommended fungicide for treatment of leaf fall.
There are various reasons responsible for russeting in apples and one of the key reason is the
use of harsh chemicals (EC formulations). You can switch over to SC formulation like Merivon.
BASF offers Merivon & Cabrio Top, which can be applied at various stages of apple growth to
ensure good quality apples.
The fruit color is dependent on various factors like sunlight, aeration, altitude, temperature,
variety and nutrients. To ensure better sunlight and aeration, canopy management is critical.
Leaf curling is due to Powdery Mildew and we recommend the use of BASF's Cabrio Top
(broad spectrum fungicide) for its effective control.
Mite problem occurs at the start of the apple season. To control the mite eggs, spray HMO
4ltr/ 200 ltr water at half inch green stage. To control adult mites, it is recommended to spray
Fenazaquin @ 50 ml/200 ltr water.
Collar rot is mainly caused by poor drainage of the apple orchards. To control it, apply
Carbendazim + Metalaxyl @ 250gm/100 ltr water. In addition, proper sanitation of orchard
should be done.
We do not recommend spraying Merivon & Cabrio Top together.
Leaf damage is generally caused by Alternaria and Marssonina disease. Merivon is the best
product recommended to control these diseases. Merivon is powered by Xemium and is a
broad spectrum fungicide.
There are various reasons affecting the size of apples, such as climate, soil quality and
nutritions. You can get your soil tested and apply nutritions according to the requirements.
