DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

DETAIL WORK ON DC SIDE:-

A) We are using crystalline Solar panels of higher efficiency . Single module will
generate low DC voltage. For higher system voltage, these modules are connected
in series to achieve lower current flows and reduced cable losses.

B) Here we are using structure stable for 25 years and galvanization of 85 micron.

C) DC cables of 6 sq mm from series connected modules are planned to be taken

into Junction boxes for parellel connection, where in the ampherage of strings are
increased without increasing already designed higher system voltage.

D) These junction boxes are of IP65 / or IP54 depending upon location and
environment. The above compliances will help in achiveing fullfillment of
requirements like Dustfree, Vermin free and Weather proof.

E) We are using high quality poly carbonate AJB whose operating voltage is 1000V
& degree of protection is IP65 .

F) We are using 2 no. of 500 kW inverter for 1 MW solar plant . We are providing
proper protection to inverter including earth protection.

S
G) From the AC voltage side of the inverter the cables are fed into the Control panel
with protection switches and then connected to 1000 KVA Step Up transformer.
Here 350V AC side will be step upto 11KV using 1000 kVA transformer and then
connect to Grid .

H) Necessary Switch board or panel housing bus bars, MCBs, switches, fuses,
isolator circuit breaker etc are provided according to the detailed electrical
engineering . Metering device are provided at the end of the circuitory or at the plant
boundary limit for energy generation values and to understand the system generated
units that are fed into Grid .

I) We are providing remote communication facilities, data logging and plant

supervision is planned using internet.

J) In this project we are using TUV approved dc cable. These cables are UV
protected. Life of these cable are very good. For dc cable TUV approval is necessary.
Cable are flame resistant, Oil resistant, Ozone resistant and UV resistant and are
halogen free and to comply with DIN standards.

K) Sizing of cables are estimated on the design parameters like voltage, current,
losses, etc . Proper mechanical protection are also provided using conduit pipe.

S
DETAIL WORK ON AC SIDE:-

A) In this project we are using 1 nos. of 1000 KVA transformer. All protection
equipments as specified by the utility are provided for the transformers.

B) Transformers are with IP55 level of protection. The ratings of the transformer
have been designed based on the load from the solar farm and the grid ratings.

C) The meter we are using for energy measurement are CERC approved . These are
microprocessor based inverter . The meters are 3-Phase 4 wire 0.2s accuracy class
Static Electronic Tri-vector energy meters with ABT compatibility .

D) The meters are conform (for testing, performance and accuracy) in all respects
the relevant Indian/International standards with latest amendments thereof.
