MPS RECORDS CONSOLIDATION AND REPORTING SYSTEM

User’s Guide by Cristian Rey C. Seco, Teacher III


EXCEL Reminders:

EXCEL COLUMNS:
LRN (A), Last (B), First (C), Middle(D), Gender (A for male/F for female) (E), Grade (F), Section (G),
Quarter (H), Subject (I), Teacher (J), Score (K), Total Score (L)

Reminders: Quarter – 1, 2, 3, 4
Subject- Complete Subject Name, e.g. Math Investigation
Teacher – Lastname, Firstname MI eg. CAVINTA, GINA S

SAMPLE VALID EXCEL FILE

Steps:
1. Open your class list in the SF1 folder.
2. Highlight the LRN and Name from the first male student up to the last female student in the list.
3. Copy (Ctrl+C) the LRN and Name of the students from the SF1.
4. Go to File → Open → Blank Page. Paste (Ctrl+V) the LRN-Name list.

5. While the data is still highlighted, click . Delete the blank column B, and the cells
that contain the male’s total.
6. Highlight the names ONLY.
7. Go to Data tab → click Text to Columns
Click Next → Uncheck Tab, place Check on Comma → Click Destination button on right

Select cell C1 → Enter → Click Finish

8. Delete Column B (containing the concatenated names.)


9. In Column E, place the gender of students. A for male, F for female.
10. In Column F, place the grade of students.
11. In Column G, place the section of students.
12. In Column H, place the quarter. Quarter – 1, 2, 3, 4
13. In Column I, place the subject. Subject- Complete Subject Name, e.g. Math Investigation
14. In Column J, place the teacher’s name.
Teacher – Lastname, Firstname, eg. CAVINTA, GINA S
15. In Column K, place the raw score of each student. You can copy-paste the scores of your students
directly from the class record.
16. Lastly, in Column L, place the total score/highest possible score.

17. Save the file in the desktop using the filename gradeSectionQuarter, e.g. 9ASTER3.

After successful login, the main page will load. On the other hand, proceed to import data page right
after you login.
IMPORT PAGE Reminders:

Using the Choose File button, open and select your file saved in the desktop. Then click Import
Scores. The page will notify you if you have successfully imported your class mps data or not.

After successful import, you may opt proceed to reports to verify your recorded mps.

IMPORT STUDENTS’ SCORES:


LRN (A), Last (B), First (C), Middle(D), Gender (A for male/F for female) (E), Grade (F), Section (G),
Quarter (H), Subject (I), Teacher (J), Score (K), Total Score (L)

NOTE: When you want to change a particular score of a student or group of students from your class, you can
overwrite your previous recorded scores by importing or encoding again the scores of that class.
MAIN PAGE Reminders:
The main page can be used to encode scores of classes with students whose status is DROPPED or
IRREGULAR.

You can place a checkmark in the name of the student who are dropped from your class. When you
entered an invalid input (e.g. letter, symbol, special characters) or even more than the exam total score after
pressing the TAB key, the page will alert you of an error message.

After you clicked the Calculate MPS button, percentage of scores, the mean, mps and the number of
failed students will automatically be computed.

NOTE: When you want to change a particular score of a student or group of students from your class, you can
overwrite your previous recorded scores by importing or encoding again the scores of that class.

REPORTS PAGE Reminders:


Reports 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.1 and 3.2 will be generated by the TEST COORDINATORS after all
test results were successfully entered into the system by the SUBJECT TEACHERS.
However, QT Report 4 and 5 will be generated by the Subject Teacher. In the QT Report 4, select the subject
and the section you are handling, then click the Generate Button, then print. On the other hand, in the QT
Report 5, you just have to select the
