* Health Certificate issued in Thailand must be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Thailand, and this office. Health Certificate issued in Taiwan does not have to be authenticated by
either a notary public or MOFA.

※ Attention:
1. Applicants are required to provide all the above-mentioned documents, the original and copies
required should be prepared completely before submitting the application to the visa
counters. Applying for a renewal visa is also required to prepare all supporting documents as
listed above each time. Application without sufficient supporting documents, even if one has
been granted visas before, may result in a refusal of a visa or a delayed processing time.
2. For “Visitor Visa Application”, if attaching foreign documents that are in a language other than
Chinese, English and Thai, should also attach an English translation which has been authenticated
by a Notary Public. For “Resident Visa Application”, all foreign documents required must be
authenticated by the ROC overseas mission stationed in the country in which the certificates

mission is responsible for the country/area that the documents to be authenticated are originated
from, and the information on authentication procedures.
3. As stipulated in the Article 12 of the Statute Governing Issuance of ROC Visas for Foreign
Passports, the ROC(Taiwan), as a sovereign state, reserved the right to refuse applications for
visas without providing any explanation; visa application fee is not refundable.
4. Applicants who are nationals from the countries: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bhutan,
Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Laos, Pakistan, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka,
Syria, please ALSO see “Procedures for Nationals of the Designated Countries Applying for
Visitor Visas to the Republic of China(Taiwan)”.
5. The bearer of Burma/Myanmar passport, please ALSO see “Procedures for Myanmar Nationals
Applying for Visas to the Republic of China (Taiwan)”.
6. This office doesn’t accept visa applications from nationals who hold Ghana, India(identity
certificate), Nepal, and Nigeria passports for any purpose of visit.
7. In case of any changes to this information, please check the Bureau of Consular Affairs, MOFA

1. Monday through Friday (except Thailand national holidays, R.O.C. Chinese New Year and

2. This office may be closed on regular working days if the Thai government announces as holiday
without prior notice.

※ Processing time:
:
1. Applicants who reside in Thailand and Myanmar can pick up visas the following working day after
12:30 P.M., or pick up visas after 12:30 P.M. the same day issuance for express service.
2. Regarding groups of over 10 persons and applicants whose residence outside of Thailand and
Myanmar, the processing time is 3 working days for regular service, and 1 working day for express
service.
3. Applicants are required to pay express fee for expediting the processing procedure to obtain a
proper visa if they have had provided sufficient supporting documents. But this office does not
provide express service to the applicants from Afghanistan、 、Algeria、 、Bangladesh、 、Bhutan、 、
Cambodia、 、Cameroon、 、Cuba、 、India /Identity Certificate、 、Iran、 、Iraq、 、Laos、 、Nepal、 、
Pakistan、、Senegal、 、Somalia、 、Sri Lanka、 、Syria.
