Kong Hua shocks Pilgrim

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY- Kong Hua School Light Bearers defeated Pilgrim
Christian College Voyagers, 67-55, on Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the
ongoing Region 10 Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) high
school division held at Barangay Bonbon covered court.

Moreno, center Christian Halasan and power forward Drix Rodgeil
Moldez on the scoring load against Voyagers counterparts of Natindim,
Azis and Galo who scored 19, 16 and 11 respectively.

Spitfire point guard Moreno top scored the Light Bearers with 20
points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists while Halasan added a double double
performance of 19 points, 11rebounds and 6 assists.

For his part, Moldez contributed 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists

who provided the spark off the bench by scoring 6 straight points on
undergoal stab and mid-range jumpshot that put Kong Hua an early lead
in the 1st quarter.

Voyagers keep coming back to within 4 points halfway in the 3rd

period behind Natindim, Azis and Lumagbas scoring prowess on layups
and putbacks but Kong Hua converted back to back points on multiple
possessions on Pilgrim's costly turnovers.
 Kong Hua School head coach Harvey Igtos applied full court press
from the get-go resulting to multiple turnovers of Voyagers while
converting points on the other end.

Also contributing points for Kong Hua School Light Bearers were
James Seguinte, Lei Chan, Paul John Polgampolage, Jeffrey Huang, Ryan
Nolasco, Chester Chan, KC Mejia, Joel Soliva and Xander Cagadas. (RGM)
