• Video supports ESOL students with different language and captions
• Video supports Students processing differences by its ability to slow down the video

Lesson idea implementation:

The teacher will introduce the topic of the Water Cycle by playing the Brain POP video on the Water Cycle.
Students will be given a stage of the water cycle to listen and write down one interesting fact about that stage
(condensation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, and evapotranspiration), they learned from the video.
Students will be collaborating with a group to create a power point about the water cycle.

After watching the video, the students will be divided into their groups where they will share their interesting
fact about a process of the water cycle. In their groups they must have different facts, so they will be able to
view the video again. Then students will collaborate their ideas and create a PowerPoint on the process of the
water cycle they have chosen.
Once they have completed a rough draft outline on paper about what they want to put on their PowerPoint
students will move to computers to complete their assignment. Students will work together to create a fun,
informative and interesting PowerPoint about the water cycle and present to the class.

Reflective Practice: To extend this lesson Students will create their own quiz questions from their PowerPoint
to give to the class. Students will then review the questions after the students finished their quiz answering
any questions peers may have.
