WHO WE ARE AND HISTORY

 The Words From The Creators

o 'Turkiye' originates from Turkey (more plain), this is the old name of Turkey. Turkiye
restaurant isn't only a Turkish café for me, rather it is the vehicle to permit me to share
and bring my old neighborhood of Istanbul's' food and culture to Glasgow.
o Beginning my vocation as a culinary specialist in a top notch eatery in Istanbul for a long
time, my profession bearing changed when I moved to Glasgow more than 10 years
now.
o Glasgow has acknowledged me and become my home, anyway regardless of how
respecting the Scottish individuals have been, there has consistently been something
missing! I've come to understand that the missing solace I have been needing is
essentially my mum's exceptional conventional and valid cooking. Customary Turkish
nourishment remains my preferred cooking and the primary concern I miss about my
local home. This is the place the underlying plan to open a customary Turkish grill café in
the core of the city that has become my home in later years began.

From that point forward while ordering all my favorites dishes to make the menu I unearthed
what I felt would be the ideal area to satisfy my fantasy. That ideal spot being inside the Merchant City
of Glasgow in the premises once known as 'City Merchant'. From that point forward I have sourced
experienced boss direct from Turkey to get ready and produce the refined menu. Together with their
experience, credible dishes in the ideal condition I accept we will have the option to make the ideal
Turkish experience directly here in Glasgow.

In Turkey a social custom that we are on the whole extremely energetic about is for the entire
family to sit together and appreciate a legitimate Sunday Breakfast. Reflecting I review the energy of this
week after week occasion and the expectation of my preferred supper. This supper like most Turkish
dinners depends on assortment, with heaps of little dishes (meze) to share. Recollections of all my
family sitting round the table getting a charge out of good nourishment and each other's organization
despite everything fills me with joy.

While repeating this long standing custom one Sunday morning with my colleague we concluded
that we needed to bring this culture, conventions and legitimacy to Glasgow to impart to you. Each
Sunday we will serve the Authentic Turkish Breakfast understanding for you to appreciate. Come and
