For B.A/B.Sc./B.Com./ BMS/ B.Voc.

Issue of Application Forms & Prospectus


1. Application Forms and Prospectus will be available online from 1st May, 2018 onwards.
The cost of Application Form and Prospectus is ₹ 400/-
2. Since the College has not accepted to be part of Degree Online Service Telangana (DOST) the
students cannot avail Government Scholarships.
3. Spot Admissions:
The eligible students are required to submit the following during spot admission, failing which
admissions will not be made.
 Application Form
 Registration fee of ₹ 200/-
 College Annual Fees payable online
 All the Intermediate (10+2) certificates (original and photocopy of each certificate)
4. Admission will be made in the order of merit based on the aggregate marks secured by the candidates in
the optional subjects & English (excluding Second language).
Refer Prospectus for eligibility criteria for respective course, date and timings for Spot Admission
5. Admissions for BMS is strictly based on Merit and Written Test.
6. Admission for Catholic/ Christian Students
a. Meeting for all Catholic & Christians Students along with the parents - 25th May 2018 at 10.00 a.m.
b. Admission of Catholic/Christian Students into B.A./B.Com/B.Sc./B.Voc. - 28th May 2018 along
with online fee payment.

Eligibility for Admission


Candidates seeking admission in 1st year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./BMS/B.Voc. Degree courses must have passed
 Two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education,
Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh
 Examination of any other University / Board recognized as equivalent by the Intermediate
Board.
 CBSE & ICSE students have to pass English and four other subjects i.e. a total of five
subjects.

Eligibility Certificate from the Board of Intermediate Education mandatory for the candidates of Boards
other than that of Telangana /A.P. CBSE & ICSE. The Admissions of such candidates will be finalized
only after the submission of Eligibility Certificate.

Admission Criteria for Intermediate Board of Examination(IBE), CBSE & ICSE

 The admission for the candidates from Intermediate Board of Examination (IBE)
based on the aggregate marks of the optional subjects and English (excluding
Second language).

 For candidates who have passed CBSE & ICSE the aggregate marks of optional
subjects (excluding Second language, Fashion Designing, Arts & Craft, Physical
Training, Home Science etc)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR COURSES


B.Com (Accounting and Finance)
60% and above (in English & Optional Subjects) in the qualifying examination
Arts, Science & Commerce students are eligible to apply.
60% of the total number of seats for students with commerce subjects
40% open to candidates with Science and Arts subjects.

B.Com. (International Business)


60% and above (in English & Optional Subjects) in the Intermediate examination
55% and above (in English & Optional Subjects) for students of CBSE/ ICSE
Arts, Science & Commerce students are eligible to apply.

B.Com. (Honors)
70% and above (in English & Optional Subjects) in the Intermediate examination with Commerce
Subjects
55% and above (in English & Optional Subjects) for students of CBSE/ ICSE are eligible to apply.

B.Com. (Computers)
65% and above (in English & Optional Subjects) in the Intermediate examination with Commerce
Subjects
55% (in English & Optional Subjects) for students of CBSE/ ICSE

B.Com. IPP (Integrated Professional Programme)


 70% marks in the optional subjects & English of the qualifying examination.
 Arts, Science & Commerce students are eligible to apply
 Students who have cleared CPT examination/ Foundation level of CMA/ CS will be given
priority.

Bachelor of Humanities & Social Sciences (B.A.)


60% in the optional subjects and English in the streams of Arts, Science, Commerce

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)


60% in the concerned optional subjects i.e. Physical Science, Biological Science/ Mathematics

B.Sc. Honors (Software Engineering)


60% marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics
No prior knowledge of computers required

B.Voc. Degree (UGC) - Bachelor of Vocational Studies


Retail Management and Information Technology Degree Course
60% marks in the qualifying examination
Arts, Science & Commerce students are eligible

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR RESERVATION CATEGORIES

SC/ ST & BC
 Community, Nativity & Date of Birth Certificate for SC,ST, BC candidates as per G.O Ms.
No.58, Social Welfare (J) Dept, dtd. 12.05.1997 issued by MRO should be submitted to the
college at the time of admission.

SPORTS
 Pre selection of the candidate for the sports quota shall be made in the following order.
- Category 1 : Representing the Nation
- Category 2 : Representing State
- Category 3 : Representing the College at State/ National/ International Level.
 Candidate securing admission under this quota will give an undertaking of continuing to play
for the College.

PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED
 Candidates seeking admission shall submit Medical Certificate from appropriate Medical
Authority as prescribed in the Govt. G.O.
 The Priorities and the categories are as follows:
- Blind
- Deaf
- Orthopedically Handicapped/ Physically Handicapped
- Dumb

IN THE PROCESS OF VERIFICATION IF ANY MALPRACTICE/ MISUSE IS


DETECTED IN THE USAGE OF CERTIFICATES AT ANY TIME OF DURATION OF
THE COURSE, THE ADMISSION IS CANCELLED WITHOUT ANY NOTICE

Criteria for Second Language


Telugu to be taken as Second Language for the Degree Programme by candidates
 who have taken Telugu as their second language in the qualifying examination
 who have studied Telugu upto Class X as their first language

Dates & Timings for Spot Admission and Online Payment of Annual Fees

Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)


Eligibility
Admissions for BMS is strictly based on Merit and Written Test and Group discussion
 70% marks in the optional subjects & English of the qualifying examination.
 Arts, Science & Commerce students are eligible to apply

A student seeking admission into the BMS course will have to undergo the admission process comprising of
 Written Admission Test – 21st May 2018
 Group Discussion - 25th May 2018

Written Admission Test


 Registered candidates will report to college by 9.30 am.
 Be seated in exam hall by 9.45 am.
 Time of the exam : 10 -12 pm (2 hours)
 Maximum Marks : 75
 Questions are divided into the following sections :
Analytical Ability – 30 Marks
Communication Ability - 30 Marks
General Knowledge – 15 Marks
 There will be NO negative marking
 Candidates will answer on a separate “Response Sheet”
 Candidates are not allowed to carry Mobile Phones / Calculators.

Group discussion
 The list of students qualifying for the GROUP DISCUSSION (Top 100 scorers in the written
admission test) will be displayed on the college website on 24th May 2018 www.sfc.ac.in, along with the
Preparation Guidelines.
 Group Discussion (GD) will be held on 25th May 2018 from 9.30 am onwards.

Selection of Candidates
 Final selection will be based on the performance in the GD (40% weightage) and score in the qualifying
examination (60%)
 Provisionally selected candidates list shall be displayed on the college website on 28th May 2018 (subject
to declaration of CBSE/ICSE results).

Candidates are required to submit all the Intermediate (10+2) original certificates & one
set of Photo copy of the same at the time of Spot Admissions
 Intermediate (10+2) Memorandum of Marks
 Intermediate (10+2) Transfer Certifi0cate
 Intermediate (10+2) Bonafide Certificate / Conduct Certificate
 Migration Certificate (ISC, CBSE and Other Board )
 Eligibility Certificate (for candidates other than Intermediate, CBSE & ICSE Board)
 Salary / Income Certificate of Parents from their place of work.
 Caste Certificate from MeeSeva
 Copy of Aadhar Card.

 Photo Copy of the 10th class Marks Memorandum & Transfer Certificate
 Photo Copy of the Caste certificate (for S.C. /S.T.& B.C. candidates)
 2 copies of Letter of Undertaking signed by Parent & Student
For Catholic /Christian Students:
 Letter from the Parish Priest /Pastor
 Income certificate duly attested by the Parish Priest / Pastor
 Baptism certificate
 ₹ 500/- for Annual Retreat
Annual Retreat and Bible Course is compulsory for all Catholic/ Christian Students.

For Supernumerary seats : (Original Certificates to be submitted for verification)


a) International/National/State level certificates of sports
b) Physically handicapped certificate from authorized government doctor.
c) Caste certificate from the Mandal Revenue Officer (for S.C. /S.T.& B.C. candidates)
For Foreign Students :
 Student having Foreign National Citizenship need to get permission from Foreign Relations
Office of Osmania University.
 NRI – Copy of the Passport to be submitted along with the prescribed NRI Fee.

Admission closes on 12th June 2018, however vacant seats if any will be filled thereafter.

 Orientation for BMS & B.Voc (RM & IT) - 12th June 2018 at 10.00 am to 11.30 am.
 Orientation for Commerce - 13th June 2018 at 10.00 am to 11.30 am.
 Orientation for BA - 14th June 2018 at 10.00 am to 11.30 am.
 Orientation for Science - 15th June 2018 10.00 at am to 11.30 am.
 Commencement of classes for
- Arts, Commerce, BMS & B.Voc (RM & IT) – 15th June 2018
- Science _ 18th June 2018

Important Notice
 In case of non-compliance to admission policy or non-eligibility of the candidate, the
Management of the Institution has the right to cancel the admission of the particular
candidate.
 Choice of the Course, Combination and Second Language once opted is final.
 Fees once paid is not refundable. However, those who leave due to unavoidable reasons
after their admissions upto 30th June, 50% of the fees paid will be refunded. No claim for
refund thereafter will be entertained.
 Students can opt for any Certificate Course during the 3 years of study and gain extra credits.
 For all Catholics & Christian students
o Bible Certificate Course is compulsory
o Participation in the Annual Retreat all the 3 years is compulsory
o For all catholic students participation in the programme on every 2nd Saturday of the
month is mandatory
 Every student is required to opt for NCC (or) NSS (or) Sports at the time of admission.
The number of students who can enroll in NSS & NCC is 100 each, while the others will opt
for sports.

All the students have to complete the required 60 hours in NSS/NCC/ Sports during their first
and second year of study.
The requirements for
- NSS : 1 Camp + 40 hrs of outreach programme.
- NCC : 2 Camps + 40 hrs of NCC activities.
- Sports : 1 certificate course in sports + 30 hrs of indoor games.

 Usage of Mobiles in the class hours and lab sessions is strictly prohibited.
 Parents will receive SMS with regards to attendance and examination notification.
 College dress code is Salwar Kameez. Jeans with kurtis and long tops is allowed.
Sleeveless or cold shoulder and short tops are not permitted.
 Students are required to wear their identity cards in the college.
 Those commuting to college by two wheelers/four wheelers have to make their vehicle passes
on payment of prescribed vehicle parking fee. Drivers are not allowed to wait in the campus.
 All forms of ragging is strictly prohibited.
 Degree must be completed in 3+2 years.
