WebFacing

 Tutorial.  
 
A  -­‐  With  the  command  WRKOBJPDM  work  into  source  library  e.g.  LIBGRA.  
1. Create  the  CL  that  will  call  the  example  menu:  see  libgra/mnu001  and  display  mnu001fm.  
2. Modify  all  displays  with  the  new  format  from  starting  CL  and  from  all  programs  called  by  
them.  
v Leave  one  line  for  title:  Programa-­‐Función  del  Pgm-­‐Usuario.  
v In  the  command  keys:  Place  descriptive  functions  e.g.  CF03(03    ‘Salir’),  CF05(05    
‘Procesar’),  etc.  
v Delete  HELP  y  PRINT  keys.  
 
 
B  –  Rational  Developer  for  i.  
1. With  the  mouse  right  button  go  to  New-­‐WebFacing  Project  and  create  the  initial  menu  
project  e.g.  MNU001.  In  “EAR  Project  name”  put  the  same  name  and  add  a  trailing  “EAR”  
e.g.  MNU001EAR.  In  “Configuration”  select  “WebSphere  Application  Server  v6.0”.  Then  
Next.  

 
 
 
 
 
2. Select  “Select  classic  WebFacing  Style”  and  make  a  click  into  “AGEC  Interno”,  then  Next.  

   
 
3. Write  LIBGRA  into  Library  field.  Then  press  “Refresh  list”,  open  LIBGRA,  then  open  GRAFUE  
and  select  all  displays.  Then  press  Next.  

 
 
4. Into  CL  command  field:  Write  CLP  to  call,  e.g.  call  pgm(objgra/mnu001)  and  into  Command  
label  put  the  menu  name,  e.g.  “SIAGEC  –  Initial  Menu  001”,  then  press  “add”  button  and  
finally  Next.  

   
5. In  the  following  dialog  select  “Yes,  I  want  to  create  the  Project…”  and  finally  Finish.  

 
D  –  Into  WebFacing  with  Rational  Developer  for  i.  
6. Run  application  to  check  if  everything  is  ok.  

 
 
E  –  Export  project.  
7. On  the  left  window  over  MNU001EAR  press  right  button  and  go  to  Export...  
8. Select  “WAR  file”  or  write  war,  select  it  and  then  go  to  Next.  

 
 9. In  Web  Project  select  menu  name,  in  Destination  select  Windows  desktop,  select  the  two  
check  boxes  Export…  and  Overwrite…,  then  “Finish”.  

   
F  –  Open  System  i  Navigator.  
10. Connect  to  iSeries.  
11. Open  File  System,  then  “/root”  and  folder  www.  
12. Copy  the  .war  file  from  desktop  and  paste  into  www  folder.    
 

 
 
G  –  Open  Web  administration  for  i  
13. Into  http://195.195.195.6:2001/HTTPAdmin,  open  all  servers.  

 
14. Select  INTAPPSVR    and  go  to    Integrated  application  server  –  7.1.  
15. Select  Manage  installed  application.  Show  the  path  /www/”menu-­‐name”.war,  then  Next  
and  finally  change  the  application  name  deleting  EAR  letters  at  the  right  of  the  name
