Installing and running Perspective Tools v2 panel software.

Warning! This software will only run in Photoshop CC, CC2014, CC2015
and beyond.

I) Installing
1. Adobe Extension Manager (CC, CC2014)

• If you have Adobe Extension Manager installed

On Windows:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CC\

On Mac:

/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/

• or download it from http://www.adobe.com/products/extension-manager.html

• Chose the Photoshop version you want to install PT2 to, goto File > Install Extension and
browse for .zxp file

2. 3rd party ZXP Extension Manager (for most CC2015 users)

• Goto http://install.anastasiy.com/, download it for Win or Mac and follow the instructions

• Goto http://zxpinstaller.com/, download it for WIn or Mac and follow the instructions

3. Manual installation (if nothing else works or for pirated Photoshop)

• Rename .zxp to .zip

• Create a folder com.kritskiy.perp2 in

On Windows:

C:\Users\[ USER ]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEP\extensions\

On Mac:

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/

Install FAQ
Q) I’m trying to install PT2 with Extension Manager but I’m getting the message ‘Failed to
install. Please make sure the manifest of this extension is valid blabla’

A) Please make sure you have your version of Photoshop selected under the Products
section of EM. If you don’t see your PS there it’s probably because you’re using CC2015 and
Adobe discontinued the use of EM for CC2015. There’s no official alternative for CC2015 so you
can try 3rd party options or go with manual installation.

Q) I’m trying to install PT2 manually but upon launch I’m getting error ‘The Perspective
Tools 2 extension could not be loaded because it was not properly signed’

A) When you unzip the .zxp for manual installation it’s crucial that all the files wouldn’t alter
in any way and all the hidden files would land in destination folder, if you don’t copy any of the
files you’ll get ‘not properly signed’ error.

Probably the best way to evade this will be unzipping the .zxp directly to

…/CEP/extensions/com.kritskiy.perp2/

If you’re using standard osx Archiver to unzip on Mac

1) put perspectiveTools2.zip in CEP/extensions folder of your OSX Library

2) double-click to unzip it. This should create a folder called perspectiveTools2 with all the
files inside

3) rename it to com.kritskiy.perp2

4) restart PS

If you’re on WIn or you're using 3rd party archivers (iZip, The Unarchiver, etc) on Mac

1) just manually extract them to com.kritskiy.perp2 folder of your CEP/extensions

2) restart PS

Q) I’m on Mac and I’m trying to unzip renamed zxp but it turns into .cpgz and when I try to
unzip it, it turns back to .zip and so on. What’s going on?

A) Since zxp isn’t exactly correct zip file, OSX is freaking out a bit. You can unzip it with
Terminal.app, use free The Unarchiver or if you still have problems, write me to
kritskiy.sergey@gmail.com
