1 Objective

This document is intended to describe the functionalities of each element of the

VRS-565 Acquisition Module.

3 Introduction
3.1 Overview

At the top, the device has four LEDs:

• 01 Green LED indicating

connected module.
• 01 Yellow LED, indicating the
status of communication with
the computer.
• 01 Green LED, indicating
channel 01 engaged.
• 01 Red LED, indicating channel
02 engaged.

On the front, the device has four connectors:

Canal channel 1 probe.

Canal 2: Connector for the

channel 2 probe.
GND GND
GND: Ground (0V).

On the back is the USB interface connector whose cable is supplied

with the equipment.

4 General observations

VRS-565 – Acquisition module

In order to prevente damage to the acquisition module and to make
more precise measurements, the following precautions should be
taken when performing a test or learning:

Disconnect the equipment to be tested

The capacitors of the equipment to be tested must be discharged

before starting the test.

The batteries of the equipment to be tested must be removed.

Use only IEC 60950-1 microcomputer certified.

The electrical installation must be fitted with short circuit breakers.

To disconnect the acquisition module: Disconnect the USB plug from

the microcomputer

Disconnect the USB plug from the computer to perform maintenance.

Do not disassemble the acquisition module. If you suspect a

malfunction, refer it to VeRSis technical assistance.

Do not touch the metal parts of the probes. This can lead to false
measurement.

If the equipment to be tested has more than one type of ground (0V),
then they must be joined together in a single point.

Follow strictly the instructions that accompany the acquisition module in

order to take full advantage of this tool.

Recommended conditions for use and transportation: Temperature

between 5 ° C and 40 ° C; Relative humidity between 40% and 60%.
