General Instructions
The repertoire list contains solos and ensembles recommended by our faculty for performance
at our festival. The MSU piano faculty can accompany students who choose pieces marked
with an asterisk (*) on the lists. Remember to mark your desire to have an MSU pianist on the
application form. If you choose to have an MSU pianist, you must indicate the name of the
piece by April 1, 2018, the application deadline, so that the pianists can prepare.
If you are bringing your own pianist, you may select from this list or any other repertoire. If
choosing from this list, you must perform within your division – middle school students must
choose Junior Division repertoire, and high school students must choose Senior Division
repertoire.
Performers are responsible for bringing a score for the adjudicators to view. Finally, there are
no lists for guitarists, who may select their own repertoire as long as they bring a score for
adjudicators.
If you have any questions about repertoire, please call Dr. Anthony Kirkland at 662-325-9374.
