BADMINTON INVITATIONAL
GROUND RULES

1. The Single Round Robin format will be used in this

tournament.

2. Elimination Round. All matches shall have two sets only.

SET POINT IS 18 while MATCH POINT IS 35. NO
ADVANTAGE POINT OR A DECISION GAME.

3. Semi-Final and Final Matches. There shall be two sets in

all Semi-Finals and Championship matches. Set and Match
point is 21 and when necessary an advantage point (+2) or
a decision game.

4. MIXED DOUBLES B, C, AND WOMENS LEVEL C. Ranks

will be based on cumulative win. Players who have obtained
the most number of wins in each bracket shall advance to
the Final Round:
Rank 1 vs. Rank 2

5. MIXED DOUBLES LEVEL D. Ranks will be based on

cumulative win. Ranks 1 and 2 of each bracket shall
advance to the Semi-Final Round:
Bracket 1-Rank 1 vs. Bracket 2-Rank 2
Bracket 1-Rank 2 vs. Bracket 2-Rank 1
Winners shall advance to the Championship Match:
Bracket 1-Winner vs. Bracket 2-Winner
6. MIXED DOUBLES LEVEL E. Ranks shall be based on
cumulative win. Ranks 1 and 2 of each bracket shall
advance to the Semi-Final Round:
Bracket 1-Rank 1 vs. Bracket 2-Rank 2
Bracket 1-Rank 2 vs. Bracket 2-Rank 1
Winners shall advance to the Championship Match:
Bracket 1-Winner vs. Bracket 2-Winner

7. MEN’S DOUBLES LEVEL C and D. Ranks shall be based

on cumulative win. Ranked 1 of each bracket will advance
to the Semi-Final Round:
Bracket 1-Rank 1 vs. Bracket 2-Rank 1
Bracket 3-Rank 1 vs. Bracket 4-Rank 1
Winners in the Semi-Final Shall advance to the
Championship Match:
Brackets 1&2-Winner vs. Bracket 3&4-Winner

8. WOMEN’S DOUBLES LEVEL D. Ranks shall be based on

cumulative win. Ranks 1 and 2 of each bracket shall
advance to the Semi-Final Round:
Bracket 1-Rank 1 vs. Bracket 2-Rank 2
Bracket 1-Rank 2 vs. Bracket 2-Rank 1
Winners shall advance to the Championship Match:
Bracket 1-Winner vs. Bracket 2-Winner

9. RANKED 1 players shall have a twice to beat advantage

specifically if undefeated during the elimination Round.

10. IN CASE OF TIE winner over the other and/or quotient

system shall be applied.

11. DEFAULTING TIME: /Players must observe the continuing

schedule of matches. Defaulting time is five (5) minutes
after the final/last call to be imposed strictly.
12. Inquiries and related information may be addressed to
any members of the Management Committee.

13. MIXED DOUBLES LEVELS B,C AND WOMEN’S DOUBLES

LEVEL C. There shall be two sets in every match. Set and
Match point is 21 and when necessary an advantage point
or a decision game. Ranking shall be based on cumulative
win. A pair who has obtained the most number of wins shall
be declared Champion (Rank 1)
