Topic 1: Should teenagers spend more time on such cultural activities as enjoying music or theatre, etc and less

time
on sports? Why or why not?

Introduction: Taking part in sports is attractive to everybody, especially teenagers. However, it seems to me that they
tend to spend too much time on it and ignore cultural activities. In my opinion, they can develop physically and mentally
if they get involved more in cultural activities due to these reasons.
Body: -Help teens to reduce stress and relax
=>Make them psychologically relieved after stressful hours
=>Their bodies and muscle can be relaxed as all they need to do is enjoying the rhythm of culture.
=>Enable teens to abolish negative thoughts in their mind.
For example: Watching a movie can be of assistance if you want to put your mind at ease. After finish it, you may also
find yourself working in earnest.
-Useful for teens to widen their horizon and gain more experience of many colourful and artistic aspects of life.
=>Provide them with not only interesting but also helpful knowledge which isn’t available in the gym or on the pitch, etc
=>Give them many opportunities to witness the true motion of culture as well as history of their countries without
looking up on the Internet.
=>Encourage them to dig deeper in culture rather than trivial sports.
For instance: Participating in a traditional festival with many funny games and precious cultural values is much better
than playing tennis on the pitch for 2 hours.
-Increase teens’ interaction with others
=>Knowing about other countries’ culture may assist teens to make new foreign friends
=>Easier to maintain and reinforce the relationships with people around them
For example: The whole family attend a traditional festival together so that they cannot only understand the culture of
their country but also make sense of others’ thought and feelings
-Remain the culture, history and tradition of their countries.
Conclusion: By taking part in cultural activities, teens will be able to receive a wide range of benefits. Therefore they can
develop themselves orally.

Topic 2: Write a paragraph of about 120-150 words about the disadvantages of having too many social relationship.
Introduction: It is usually said that having a lot of social relationship is a significant advantage in life. However, it also has
some hidden disadvantages that not many people know. First of all, those who are too social tends to find forming close
relationship with others difficult. Constant interaction with lots of people means choosing to focus on just a few
relationships to reinforce them is impossible. Therefore, people will be aware of the fact that even though they have
many acquaintances, not many of them understand their feelings or close enough for them to confide in. Secondly,
people must function with enormous efforts to please everybody for fear of spoiling the relationships. Consequently,
they may feel not only exhausted but also stressful to accomplish this task. In the end, it turns out that they receive
nothing but dissatisfaction. Last but not least, too many social relationship will cost people a lot of time. Thus, they
might not have enough time for their own interests. In conclusion, everybody must know the limit so as not to be
overwhelmed with too many relationships.
