Digital Transformation:

Digital Transformation is reinventing current business function. Today every enterprise now has only 2
choice that is innovation or extinction. Digital Transformation is not just about IT or technology
instead it’s about redefining entire business strategy that may include change in corporate culture. For
example, in today time most people especially millennial prefers to shop more on online rather than
going to super market or grocery stores.

In todays time every business is moving ahead with evolution of technology as business are now
generating plenty of data, the real time data. The data about your consumer, market, competitor &
supply chain

AGILE & WATERFALL

Waterfall

 Requirement phase gather the requirement from the client

 Software design phase where we design the blue print of the software that how software will
look like
 The come the implementation phase where in team of developer will work on building the
blueprint that they have designed
 In Verification stage various level of testing are performed to check if software is working as per
requirements,
 One all testing is done then it is deployed into the maintenance servers & last come
maintenance phase where in application performance is monitored
 Pros: easy to understand & measure progress easily
 Cons: Time consuming & risk factor

Agile
Its an iterative base software development technique where in software is broken down into various
sprints or iteration or phase where each phase its own waterfall model. Software is released & then
taken client feedback & again make changes on basis of client responses & this process repeats till
final version comes

Pros: lesser risk & higher quality

Cons: dedicated team, hard to execute

CLOUD

Cloud is collection of data center where user will host their application.

These data center is already existing offered by different vendors such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform &
Azure.

 Earlier if business have to host a website and store data, they have to buy a stack of servers
which is very expensive.
 Issue of traffic, as traffic is never constant throughout the day as a result during less traffic most
of the servers remain idle or during more traffic existing may not be able to provide enough
bandwidth
 Cost of monitoring & maintaining a server.
 In Today’s time for businesses the data is money and in every day any business is generating
over 100’s of TBs data.

1TB = 1000gb or 10^12 byte

1 Petabyte = 10^15 byte or 1000 TB or 10^6 gb

 Earlier data are mostly store in paper format or in folder of PC or in excel.

 So, in cloud business have to only pay for the services that they are hosting on cloud or these
data centers and the time till businesses want to use this services or application.
 Service provider take care of your data security & maintenance of infra.

Cloud computing:

Storing of data on remote server – processing of data from servers – accessing data from remote
server via internet from anywhere in world.

Service models for cloud computing: on the basis of business requirement vendor can suggest any
of the 1 service models

IAAS: Infrastructure as a service

Here entire cloud infrastructure is provided to client and here they have flexibility to used their own
tools to build application

SAAS: software as a service

Here software or application owned by vendor will be provided to their client as basis of their
requirements for example salesforce a CRM software owned by sales force is provided to businesses
and charge them.

PAAS: Platform as a service

It provides a cloud platform where in user or client build their application or software using tools
provided by vendor or cloud provider for example: Google app engine where in it allow user to
create their own application or oracle cloud platform
Types of cloud deployment or sourcing model:

Public Cloud: The public cloud is the one where in cloud services are available to every one worldwide
through the internet, shared cloud used by multiple customer it’s an inexpensive as client have to pay
only for the what they are using. Google AppEngine

Private Cloud: Here cloud services is provided to a client who want to host or build their application and
it is highly secured.

Hybrid Cloud: It’s a mix of both public and private, here client can go private initially but when they
sense peak in traffic it can move to public & others also have access to it. Sales force, netflix

Cloud provider

AWS – best because of better services, high computing speed,

GCP, MICROSOFT AZURE, IBM Cloud Services, VMware

Cloud

DATA MGMT

Database: It’s a storage area on Hard drives

Data base has 3 main layers:

Client GUI(HTML, XML) – Web application or business logic where program is

written(C,C++,.net, java) - program written or client data store in server called
database(oracle, mysql, )

SQL : structured query language helps to add delete or retrieve data from server

Mostly UNIX or LINUX for server as more secure than windows

DBMS: Data base mgmt. system, here data is stored in number of tables in Hard drive.eg. MS
access, Foxpro.

RDBMS: Relational data base mgmt., it helps in establishing the relationship between multiple
tables, eg: mysql, oracle, DB2,

RDBMS cannot hold huge data thus big data come into picture

Big data: Hadoop, spark

Business Analytics tools: SAP BI , Qliksense, Microsoft power BI, Tableau, SAP BI &
Oracle BI

WORK EX:

SAP: system application & product

ERP: Enterprise resource planning

We have worked on SAP R/3: Presentation layer, Application layer & Data base layer

SAP has 3 main components – Development, Testing & Production

ED3, EQ6, SP1

My Roles was:

Checking performance of system -CPU Utilization (ST06) & SM50 long running jobs

STMS for TR import, SE09 for objects deletion & addition or TR creation
Also part of change & release management team wherein we have to work on transport
movement, creating of deployment project of each months & weeks, keep track on TR
deployment into SAP system, Helping Team with TR related queries such as creation of TR,
Adding objects or deletion of objects into TR, scheduling auto batch jobs for TR movement
from Development to quality, Provide KT to new joiners & making reference document for
each process, & Making weekly excel report on TR that have been moved into Production
system to audit purpose.

Unit testing – test individual smaller units of program

Integration testing – more than 1 smaller units are integrated to form one major program unit &
then perform IT which can be – top to down, bottom to up

System testing – to check if software are working on different OS

Acceptance testing – client will do final test & see if its works as per requirements

Difference between SAP & SAP Hana is that SAP Hana has its own data base level
unlike in SAP R/3 where we have to use Oracle or Mysql.

SAP Hana has Faster Performance.

SAP CLOUD: SAP Hana Cloud Platform is SAP’s Platform as a Service

How internet works:

Uniform Resource Locator - URL

World Wide Web – WWW

ICANN – Internet corporation for assigned names & numbers is the top level authority in internet
world decides who can sell domain names

Domain name server(DNS): this connect the website to its IP address, so we ISP block the IP
address then website will not be able to connect to that IPS

BLOCK CHAIN

Block chain is a decentralized, distributed & public ledger system

Used highly for tranx mgmt. system and are replacing existing tranx mgmt. system

Issue with current banking system:

Double spending: bank trnx are prone to double spending here at the same time person tries to send
amount to 2 or more person even he has less amount with it, thus both trnx go through same time with
same digital signature and it would become tough for system to identify which is valid or invalid trnx.

# is of 256 bit
