1.0 Design Basis

Design work has been carried out based on the design information provided by the
consultant vide their drawing SAPL/725/SHANTHA/ST-01 and sketches.

The following loading has been assumed in the analysis :

i) Self Weight of Beams as Generated internally by the software. The slab thickness
has been assumed as 150mm.

2 2
ii) A Superimposed Load of 4.75kN/m for Floor and 6.85kN/m for Roof has been
Considered in the design.

2 2
iii) Live Load of 10kN/m on floor and 3kN/m on Roof as been considered in the
design

Summary and Conclusion:

Post Tensioned Beams for the floor slab and RC Beams for the floor & roof have
been designed and the respective Cable & Reinforcement Details are shown in the
drawing. Refer Annexure – 1

Post Tensioned Beams for the Roof is already designed and been sent for checking.
We shall send the Cable Details in Two or Three day’s time.

The overall proof checking is being done by Prof P.K. Aravindan. The Column Sizes
and Reinforcements were also checked for the axial forces and moments. The
Column provided is adequate from Foundation to the First Floor Level. Due to the
increased moment coming at the roof level the section shown in your drawing from
First Floor level to the roof is inadequate and the % of Reinforcement and placement
of main rods have to be altered. These details shall also be sent to you at the earliest.
