EARTHQUAKE LOADS
208.1.1 Purpose
The purpose of the succeeding earthquake provisions is
primarily to design seismic-resistant structures to
safeguard against major structural damage that may lead
to loss of life and property. These provisions are not
intended to assure zero-damage to structures nor maintain
their functionality after a severe earthquake.

Note: If T ≤ 0.7sec, Ft = 0
e) Determination of T, Structure period Where:
Ft – concentrated Force at the top, which is in addition to
Fn
T – calculated time, structure period
V – calculated base shear
