Urinary tract infection

Mrs. S is a private employee at one of the well-known TV stations in Indonesia.

Because of his busy schedule, he sometimes often hold back urine because they have to
complete the piling task. Even when finished urinating rarely do personal hygiene correctly
and rarely drink water.

One time, Mrs. S complained of pain in the waist, then a fever accompanied by chills
and pain when urinating. His sister also felt confused with the situation that was being
experienced by her sister, so finally the family brought ny. S to the nearest hospital to be
examined.

Urinary tract infection (ISK)

Mrs. S sister accidentally holds her arm and sings while maintaining the temperature
being worn, and than her little sister immediately took Mrs.S to the nearest hospital. Arriving
at the hospital

Nurse A : Can I help you?

Little Sister : My sister had a high fever then she moaned constantly on pain

her waist, I'm afraid my sister has nothing sus, please help me sus.

Nurse A : Ok, you calm down first, we will check your sister’s condition.

Little Sister : I entrust everything to you.

Nurse conducted an assesment of Mrs.S

Nurse B : Good evening Mrs , I’m Nurse Lisa, I am a nurse on duty in this room at

14.00 - 21.00, i want to do an assesment of your urinary system, are you

willing?

Patient : Yes nurse, I am willing

Nurse B : well mom, what is your name? (while TTV)

Patient : My name is Suci.

Nurse B : May I know your age and what is your occupation?

Patient : I'm 20 years old, and I work as a private employee on a TV private sector in
Indonesia.

Nurse B : what are your problem now?

Patient : My waist hurts a lot, and lately when I urinate I feel pain.

Nurse B : Ok, if I give a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 = no pain, 5 = Moderate and 10 = pain
is very severe, how much the pain you feel?

Patient : Maybe about 5 nurse.

Nurse B : Since when did the mother start to feel pain in the waist and when urinating?

Patient : About a week ago.

Nurse B : Have you experienced anything similar before?

Patient : No nurse, this is the first time.

been diagnosed with urinary tract infection.

Nurse station

Nurse B : Nurse A, this is nursing plan that must be given to patients named Mrs. S, aged
20 years old with an ISK diagnosis. First we will deal with the pain with a
diagnosis of acute pain with the intervention we will do, which is to teach deep
breathing relaxation techniques. And then for the fever problem we will
overcome it with a diagnosis of hyperthermia with the intervention we will do,
which is to teach the warm compress technique.

Nurse A : Thanks nurse.

Nurse A : Good evening ma'am?

Patient : Good evening, nurse

Nurse A : I’m Apri, nurse on duty in this room. What is your name?

Patient : I’m Mrs. S

Nurse A : To day i will teach you relaxation techniques so that the pain you feel is slightly
reduced, so you can sleep well. Are you willing?

Patient : Yes I am willing

Nurse A : You can see me first, after that you can do it by yourself.

Patient : Yes, nurse

Nurse A : The first take a deep breath, hold for 3 seconds and then exhale through the
mouth (while practicing) this is repeated for several times until your pain
decreases. Do you understand?

Patient : Yes, understand

Nurse A : Well, now try to do what i taught you earlier.

Patient : Like this sus?

Nurse A : Yes, it's great, ma’em. Later if you are tired, you can rest first. So next I will
teach warm compress techniques to reduce your body temperature, your
family can also learn at the same time.

Patient and Sister: Ok. nurse

Nurse A : The first cloth is dipped in warm water then squeezed, but do not dry, then
immediately put on the patient's forehead (while practicing)

Little Sister : Can the compress be reset?

Nurse A : Oh yes ma'am. This can be done several times until the temperature starts to
drop. Don't forget to always measure his body temperature by using a
thermometer.
